[Amiya cosplay] Arknights Movie Collaboration, A Healing Moment in a Pink Sea of Flowers

This Amiya movie collaboration cosplay, completed in a springtime pink sea of flowers, is officially released on this clear afternoon. To fit the special atmosphere of the movie collaboration, we put a lot of thought into selecting the location, finally settling on this blooming pink snapdragon sea of flowers.

Let's first talk about the makeup and styling this time. The long brown hair with straight bangs retained the foundation of Amiya's iconic hairstyle. To project a spring vibe, the blush was applied very lightly, choosing a peach-toned pink to make the overall complexion look very soft. The focus was placed on the eyes, wearing bright blue colored contacts, with a light touch of pink eyeshadow blending, which beautifully highlighted the vibrant expression of the eyes amidst the flowers. The rabbit ears on the headpiece are large, upright, and furry; to keep them from looking clumsy, we put a lot of effort into securing them, ensuring they remained upright from any shooting angle.

For the clothing, a pure white turn-down collar shirt was chosen, featuring exquisite ruffle pleats along the collar line. A high-quality black bow tie ribbon was tied at the collar. The black-and-white color contrast not only contrasted beautifully with the pink sea of flowers but also made the focus of the upper body stand out. I specially paired it with a blue beaded bracelet on my wrist to echo the blue eyes, adding a nice little detail. For the prop, a light brown plush rabbit toy was selected, and a light blue ribbon was also tied around its neck, perfectly pairing with the bracelet so that my hands had something to interact with in the flowers.

My collaboration with photographer Muxi has always been a pleasure. The challenge of this sea of flowers photo shoot was that the flowers were very dense and quite tall. To capture the feeling of being entirely enveloped by the flowers while ensuring the face received sufficient light, we had to adjust our positions several times. We used large-aperture lenses extensively to turn the foreground and background flowers into beautiful blurred blocks of color, which highlighted the subject and the props wonderfully. During the shoot, Muxi was very patient, helping me tidy up my bangs and rabbit ears blown around by the wind and finding the right backlit angles. Since everything around us was pink, if the lighting wasn't controlled well, it could easily make the skin tone look dull. We specifically picked a later time in the afternoon to utilize the soft natural light, making the skin texture appear fairer and more translucent.

Although the movie collaboration has specific styling requirements, I still wanted to preserve Amiya's pure yet determined trait in this shoot. The sweetness of the sea of flowers and the cuteness of the character naturally complement each other; the only thing to watch out for was not letting the character turn into an overly sugary style. Therefore, in my facial expression management, I tried my best to maintain a relaxed yet not overly exaggerated soft smile. The little rabbit plushie in my hands perfectly neutralized this subtle feeling, adding interactive fun.

When I saw the finished photos, I felt all the preparation was worth it. The pink sea of flowers was distinctively layered, and with just the right amount of large-aperture bokeh, the whole image presented a lightweight feel with an oil-painting texture. The creases of the clothes and the black bow tie were highly eye-catching in the frame, bringing out the cleanliness of the white shirt to the absolute maximum. Enriched by the springtime sea of flowers, this look for the movie collaboration seemed to gain an extra touch of unique tenderness and healing. Although the whole shooting process was hard work, the final images perfectly matched the expectations in my heart.
