[Lappland cosplay] Arknights Birthday Celebration: The Wolf's Blade of Siracusa

Lappland's birthday celebration photos are here, and this self-styled outfit is currently my favorite set. The core idea was to capture the character's sharpness and aggressive edge rather than simply dressing dark. The wig is long, straight silver-gray hair, with special care given to shaping the bangs and sideburns using hair wax for a sharp look, paired with black rectangular hairpins on both sides to recreate her iconic features. For eye makeup, I chose blue-gray contact lenses, layering gray-black eyeshadow with slightly upturned eyeliner to emphasize that cool, intimidating visual impact. Contouring was blended down to the jawline for a sharper facial profile. Applying false eyelashes properly was also key to controlling the gaze—staggering clusters of fairy and fishtail lashes elongated the eye shape without looking stiff.

For the All-black outfit styling, the top is an off-the-shoulder black piece over a printed inner layer, softening the shoulder lines and blending seamlessly with the overall aesthetic. The lower half combines black shorts with Ripped stockings; before wearing them, the positioning of the tears needed careful adjustment—exposing the slimmest part of the thigh creates a flattering slimming effect, and the edges must look naturally frayed rather than too neat. Platform boots bring their own grounded weight; when taking mirror selfies, shifting the center of gravity onto the heels keeps the leg lines straightest and boosts the aura. Since the character's base palette is all-black, styling focused on layering different black textures—the matte jacket paired with the sheer translucency of the stockings made the whole silhouette pop in three dimensions.

For shooting, photo 3 from the full-length mirror was chosen as the cover, perfectly showcasing the leg lines, Ripped stockings, and platform boots. The centered composition, free from collage or watermark clutter, delivers great visual impact. The half-body shots were taken while seated at a restaurant with hands resting on the table from a slightly elevated angle, accentuating the gaze while keeping the face looking sleek. Full-length mirror shots utilized reflections to expand spatial depth. Post-processing mainly involved color grading: to complement the cold atmosphere, warm ambient tones were suppressed, contrast was boosted, and skin tones were made transparent and luminous, all while preserving textures on the black fabric and background without over-smoothing skin to retain the garment's crisp texture.

Regarding props, I brought the Lappland bunny plush along into the frame, also taking a set with food to inject some daily life and gap-moe into the chilly vibe, raising the set's completeness. This Arknights Lappland cosplay birthday shoot felt very relaxed; whether in posing or on-camera presence, I pursued a natural and clean state—no need for forced expressions, just following the vibe of the outfit. The resulting texture matches my understanding of the character's temperament perfectly. The shooting flow was straightforward, casually documenting while dining, focusing on small details like stocking tears and standing posture, where every subtle adjustment directly impacted the final camera results. This styling was a truly heartfelt effort.
