[Qingxiao cosplay] Wuthering Waves: Detailed presentation of the cool and detached traditional Chinese style girl - Image 1

A lot of thought was put into the material selection for Qingxiao's costume. The mandarin collar design retains the charm of traditional Chinese tailoring, and the white fabric was specially chosen as jacquard satin with snowflake hidden patterns, which will have a natural shimmering reflection under the lights. To fit the character's cool and detached feel, the blue inner layer used a fabric with a good drape, and the silver piping along the edges was meticulously tailored at the waist. The three-dimensional semi-transparent flower on the chest is the focal point of this look; the layers of the petals and the pink pistils needed to be hand-glued piece by piece, paired with the hanging green spiral jade pendant and blue-green tassels that sway gently as you walk. The semi-transparent light cyan bracelet worn on the arm not only echoes the overall color scheme, but also adds a bit of lightness. The wig part consists of long straight light blue-purple hair, with blunt bangs and side hair trimmed to frame the face. The three-dimensional hair ornament behind the top of the head, shaped like a fluid or ribbon, required repeated adjustments with hair gel and styling spray, and then fixed to the wig with invisible bobby pins to ensure it wouldn't shift during the shoot. In terms of makeup, to highlight the 2D characteristics, colored contact lenses were used to enlarge the pupils, with eyeshadow primarily blended in earth tones and light blue, elongating the outer corners of the eyes and paired with sharp eyeliner to depict Qingxiao's slightly aloof gaze. The base makeup pursued a fair, matte finish, and the lip makeup chose a low-saturation color. When shooting this set, the lighting was mainly set up in an indoor environment. Qingxiao's temperament is rather cool, detached, and elegant, so the movements don't need to be too large. Slightly turning to the side, one hand gently pinching the edge of the chest floral decoration, with the gaze looking straight into the lens, this posture showcases the costume's tailoring and accessory details very well. I deliberately wrapped the sheer gauze ribbons around the shoulders and arms to give the frame a bit more layering. The restoration of the entire look lies not only in the clothes and wig, but even more so in that quiet aura. To present the best effect, the costume was carefully ironed before the shoot to ensure no obvious wrinkles affect the texture. This time, I spent a lot of time refining the details of the makeup and accessories; from the gloss of the fabric to the drape of the accessories, I tried my best to stay true to the design, hoping to present the character's unique atmosphere through these photos.
