The retouching for this set of Kamisato Ayaka Bunny outfit photos is finally wrapped up. Honestly, these were supposed to be posted yesterday on her birthday, but because I spent a full two months fine-tuning them back and forth, it dragged right into today—so I can only drop a belated 'happy birthday' here.
For this shoot, I wore the Genshin Impact Bunny outfit—uwowo happened to be re-releasing this set recently, and the physical costume is genuinely adorable. The moment I received it, the blue-and-white color palette felt incredibly refreshing, especially all the fine details: the wide billowing sleeves, the ribbon bow at the neckline, and those fluffy pink-and-white bunny ears. To complement this outfit, I specifically paired it with light blue gradient star Stockings and glossy black safety shorts; the golden star motifs scattered along the legs were a deliberate little touch in my styling. The high-gloss black shorts and pale blue velvet-like Stockings formed a wonderful tactile contrast in fabric textures, visually elongating my leg lines on camera—which was a core consideration when coordinating the look.
The shoot took place at @QiMuRealScenePhotographyStudio. The white florals, lush greenery, and sparkling blue glitter backdrop in the studio aligned seamlessly with this dreamy aesthetic. The photographer, @XiaoHongMeiYouXiaoHongMao, was fantastic at catching candid frames, guiding me on the swing to try various poses. At first, I worried I'd be too stiff holding the bouquet and that blue-and-gold folding fan, but gradually I found my rhythm. The swing was draped with a tasseled blanket, framed by white Roman pillars and golden moldings, dialing the overall atmosphere to the max. During the shoot, I tried raising both hands to make a heart gesture, as well as glancing back over my shoulder with the fan; to better highlight the outfit's tailoring and the texture of the Stockings, I twisted my torso slightly and extended or crossed my legs forward, giving the frames far more dynamic vitality. The lighting throughout was wonderfully crisp and clean, and the makeup held up impeccably—the pink blush and light blue colored contacts looked exceptionally spirited on lens.
Over the two months spent editing, I repeatedly tweaked the facial contours to the point where my face shape in the final cut almost looks slightly different—perhaps pursuing ultimate delicacy led to a bit of over-polishing. Nevertheless, this set serves as a milestone archive for myself, capturing all the dedication poured into bringing this look together. From color grading to balancing lighting, every step took extensive polishing—especially recreating the glittering texture of the blue sequined backdrop, which required meticulous adjustments to color temperature and contrast.
From selecting accessories to locking in the makeup, being hands-on with every step was tiring, yet seeing the final frames is deeply fulfilling. Consider this my sincere tribute to Kamisato Ayaka; though delayed, the heartfelt intention remains true.
