Braving the blazing sun in a classical garden today, we finally wrapped this photoshoot of Suisui from Wuthering Waves. This costume features an astonishing amount of fine detail—from sculpted wig styling to intricate metallic hardware, pre-production required thorough preparation. The wig was treated with pale-blonde fibers accented by subtle golden-yellow highlights; the pair of crimson horn-like ornaments atop the crown and the red tasseled ties at the hair tips demanded constant vigilance while walking, as they easily tangled together.
For makeup, to harmonize with the character's spirit, the eye makeup utilized vivid, crisp shades paired with pale-gold contact lenses, lending a crystalline, luminous sparkle to the gaze under natural daylight. Subtle red accents were dotted across the complexion to elevate the whimsical fantasy mood. Because shooting took place outdoors beneath intense sunlight, the base and setting powder were applied with robust precision to guard against sweat and preserve an immaculate finish.
The attire embodies a fantasy aesthetic primarily anchored in white, blue, and gold, utilizing a backless cut and a high slit to keep the overall silhouette weightless and breezy. The metallic gold accents and floral ornaments gracing the arms, along with cascading translucent gossamer ribbons, fluttered gorgeously whenever a breeze caught them. To build textural depth, I paired the outfit with brownish-red leather fingerless gloves and black platform stilettos, which not only visually elongated the leg contours but also reinforced the character's commanding presence.
The venue was scouted in an ancient classical garden, where the geometric openwork of wooden balustrades and distant waterfront pavilions infused this 2D aesthetic with authentic traditional charm. The folding fan in hand was amber-orange, detailed with delicate patterns; holding it near my head while adopting a side-seated pose with crossed legs anchored the composition with rich visual balance.
From location scouting to lighting calibration, this set was an experimental journey. While natural daylight is gorgeous, tracking harsh shadow lines requires unrelenting attention. Strolling across rigid garden flagstones in stilettos to discover the best angles took noticeable physical stamina, but witnessing the raw beauty of the final deliverables made every challenge entirely worthwhile. I hope this portrayal offers everyone a refreshing visual experience—see you in the next character shoot!
