When shooting this cozy at-home Kasugano Sora cosplay, I mainly wanted to highlight a quiet, soft, and sweet ambiance. The overall lighting utilized high-key soft light (High-key photography) with lower contrast, making it easier to accentuate the porcelain fair skin. For the backdrop, pure white bedsheets were chosen because white reflects light beautifully, casting a natural soft-light halo around the subject. Before shooting, I smoothed out the bedsheet wrinkles to make the lines look natural.

In terms of styling, the outfit featured a White loungewear dress with ruffles along the hem and black bows tied at the chest and back. This design looks visually lightweight, fitting the everyday aesthetic of a Loli character design in 2D media. The wig was long, light blonde hair with blunt bangs. During fitting, I repeatedly adjusted the length of the bangs and the curve of the side locks to achieve a natural, lived-in feel. Light blonde wigs can be quite picky with skin tones, so I applied a slightly paler base foundation beforehand to create clear separation between the wig and my skin. For eye makeup, red-toned eyeshadow was applied with a slightly broader smudge at the outer corners, paired with dark contact lenses to make the eyes appear large and expressive on camera. Applying blush right under the eyes paired with glossy lip gloss enhanced that adorable, youthful maiden charm. The moisturizing quality of the lip gloss was also essential to keep the lips looking plump and hydrated. Maintaining a measured blinking pace was also crucial; due to the large-diameter contacts, blinking too quickly easily catches awkward eye expressions.

For props, I prepared a gray rabbit plushie tied with a white ribbon around its neck. The gray plushie created a subtle color contrast with the white bedsheets, keeping an all-white setting from feeling monotonous. A blue bag of potato chips was intentionally placed in the foreground to infuse authentic everyday life vibes, making it feel like an ordinary lazy afternoon at home. These props were chosen specifically to convey the character's daily habits and personality.

For posing, to match the relaxed, lazy theme, I mostly opted for side-lying and prone poses. The first shot was holding the rabbit from the front looking into the lens; the second shot had both legs kicked up slightly in the back, a composition that better flattered leg lines and added playfulness, while wide aperture blurred the background to accentuate the subject; the third shot was turning my head to look at the plushie's profile, capturing that quiet contemplative expression. Throughout the shoot, the photographer constantly adjusted angles—especially for the first and second frontal shots, using a low-angle perspective to capture leg lines more flatteringly. With adjustments between frontal and profile angles, the gaze in the third shot highlighted facial contours cleanly from the side.

During post-processing, we retained the bright tones of the raw shots, mainly pulling down superfluous light flares slightly to give the image layers a more translucent texture. Simple spot healing was applied to smooth out minor unevenness on the sheets. For a natural visual presentation on social platforms, we avoided extreme distortions or liquifying, primarily preserving natural posture and facial features. Personally, for shooting this sweet and cute 2D Loli style, the most critical factors are creating the environmental ambiance and mastering camera angles. Communicating concepts thoroughly before the shoot always maximizes the final outcome.
