For this Wuthering Waves Phrolova cosplay shoot, the key focus was capturing that sense of resolve and cold elegance. The March Monster co-branded outfit truly offered fantastic texture; the contrasting Black and red gothic style gown paired with black Fishnet stockings and platform boots, complemented by intricate leather straps, exuded a commanding presence. The long mint-green braid and butterfly hair accessories on my head took quite a bit of time to style and recreate.

The shoot took place in a dark-aesthetic studio, where props such as a golden birdcage, iron chains, red roses, clockwork gears, and skulls formed vital visual elements in the composition. To bring the character closer to the mindset conveyed by her line, "I will wait no longer," I deliberately modulated my gaze during poses, channeling an elusive and aloof detachment.

The photographer also offered valuable advice on pre-shoot composition and lighting. For instance, in close-up shots, laying down a cool base of purplish-blue tones paired with red blossoms highlighted Phrolova's inherently dangerous allure much better. In full-body shots, sitting inside the cage with crossed legs accentuated feminine lines with the Fishnet stockings while preserving the character's menacing presence. The silver longsword adorned with red roses in my hand was the soul prop of this session; while posing, I paid close attention to the pressure points of holding the blade to ensure its angle was straight and seamless on camera. Although the shooting process was demanding—staying cramped inside an iron cage for long stretches—seeing that aloof, chilling atmosphere fully maximized when reviewing the raw previews made every effort worthwhile. For me personally, this stood as a deep dive into Black and red gothic style cosplay, granting fresh insights into mastering lighting and interacting with props.
