This location shoot for Meizhou street snap went incredibly smoothly. To perfectly restore Virtuosa's (Arturia's) sense of oppression accompanied by a broken feeling, we specially selected scenes with very strong light and shadow contrast. The architectural style here matches the overall art design this time, making the character look as if stepping out of a painting; this immersive sense of atmosphere was a key focus heavily emphasized before shooting.
I also had strict demands on the costume details. From the drape of the skirt to the metallic texture of the accessories, every detail was meticulously polished to pursue better visual effects. This styling is not only a visual restoration, but also an expression of the struggle and power deep within the character's heart. This is also the cosplay creation philosophy I have always adhered to: conveying the emotional core of the character through fine production and precise atmosphere capture.
Special thanks to Baihe for the cooperation, and Yu's high-level performance in photography and Photography post-processing, which helped me present these subtle textures perfectly. In this work, I especially like those few candid close-ups; the broken feeling in those eyes is truly immersive. I hope this 2D output allows friends who love Arknights to see the most authentic side of the character.
