This Hsin cosplay photoshoot was created for the Wuthering Waves creator incentive, and I spent a lot of time adjusting the hair, makeup, and costume structure. The contrasting red, white, black, and gold color scheme of this outfit is very striking, featuring wide red sleeves bordered in gold and a high-slit lower design that directly showcases the leg lines. To match the game character, I used a long silver-white wig, animal ears with black tips on top, and golden floral hairpins to shape the overall silhouette. For makeup, I emphasized red contacts and a gradient red eyeshadow elongated at the outer corners, finished with a subtle red lip.

The shoot took place in a pure white studio to maximize the color contrast of the costume. Since the outfit is quite form-fitting—especially the black bandeau bodice and waist cutouts—I constantly had to adjust my posture to prevent wardrobe malfunctions. In the first photo, I chose a three-quarter front angle, using hand gestures to draw the visual focus toward the red and blue gems across the chest while highlighting leg lines through the high slit. The second photo is an over-the-shoulder look holding a black prop with red accents, which, combined with the metallic coin pendants on the costume, added more dynamism. Controlling the fabric was quite challenging during the shoot; for example, when turning, I had to intentionally flick the wide red sleeves to create a flowing curve. In post-processing, I kept the natural folds of the fabric without exaggerated warping.

Considering this is a 2D look, having the costume alone wasn't enough. Fixing the animal ears also required considerable effort, using invisible bobby pins and adhesive tape at the crown to ensure they wouldn't tilt when turning my head. Red tattoo stickers were applied to my arms and shoulders. With this high-slit bodysuit, moving around required extra care to minimize accidental exposure. Although the white, red, black, and gold color scheme is gorgeous, the complex tassels and chains gave it some noticeable weight when walking indoors. Overall, having wrapped up the shoot, the restoration of the costumes, props, makeup, and character expressions turned out quite well.
