This time, I brought my Nahida outfit to a massive sea of hydrangeas. It happened to be the peak blooming season, and the endless view of blue and purple was incredibly healing. There are so many details in this outfit; the white, green, and gold color combination is very refreshing, and the 3D decorations on the collar and sleeves do a wonderful job of recreating the character's temperament during close-ups. The wig was treated with a two-tone gradient this time, and the curvature of the bangs and sideburns was adjusted repeatedly, hoping to present a look that is closer to the character in front of the lens.
It drizzled a little on the day of the shoot, with water droplets still hanging on the flowers and leaves, and the air carried the scent of moist soil, flowers, and grass. Such an environment is actually perfect for outdoor photography of a character with a natural aura. The Dendro element setting from Genshin Impact, combined with Nahida's image as the God of Wisdom, makes her look unexpectedly matching with this sea of hydrangeas. As for the specific poses, squatting by the bushes to look at leaves, sitting on a stone platform to interact with the camera, or closing my eyes to feel the moment the wind blows past—these are all perspectives that I feel can better reflect her personality.
In this set, we also shot some quieter and softer angles, aiming to convey the inner purity and serene nature of the 2D character. Although the shoes rubbed my feet a bit during the shoot and the makeup needed repeated touch-ups due to staying outside for so long, seeing the final selected photos makes me feel it was all worth it. I hope everyone likes the little Dendro Archon through my eyes.
