The theme of this shoot features Dorothy from Goddess of Victory, built around the Spring Banquet concept with an overall atmosphere set in warm, soft tones. In selecting the costume, I carried forward the character's inherent sense of gorgeous lightness. To fit the spring theme, I specifically chose this predominantly white dress. The upper body incorporates large-scale lace and sheer tulle panelling, with ruffled sleeve cuffs, complemented by pearl chains and floral accents at the neckline, filling the details with exquisite layering. Cutouts at the waist combined with layered sheer skirts below visually elongate body proportions dramatically, bestowing an overall demeanor that is elegant yet playful.
For wig selection, I restored the bright pink hair color. The strands required substantial time to comb through to maintain natural fluffiness and gentle curves. A delicate pearl chain and flower hairpiece draped across the forehead served as the absolute soul of the entire look. For makeup, I opted for slightly cool-toned purple contact lenses to make my eyes look clearer and more vivid. Avoiding overly heavy blending around the eyes, I focused on eyeliner and glitter to emphasize radiance, aiming to portray a gentle state laced with a subtle touch of distant detachment.
For this photoshoot, we specifically arranged a European-style indoor set, using light purple drapes in the background to create a dreamy, blurred sense of depth. The central scene featured a cream-colored tufted leather sofa, complemented by a white wrought-iron decorative lamp beside it and scattered pink-and-white flowers, creating a remarkably soft overall color palette. Lighting was crucial during filming; we relied primarily on large softboxes and reflector boards to evenly spread diffused light across the frame, building a soft-focus highlight effect that rendered skin tones clear and translucent while highlighting the fabric texture of the costume's lace.
In posing, the main focus was presenting a languid, cozy, and slightly elegant state. Since the hem of this outfit is relatively short and required wearing high-heeled sandals to adjust leg contours, managing tiptoes and balance beforehand demanded careful attention—aiming for an effortless look without appearing stiff in heels. Across multiple photos, I experimented with various poses including flicking hair with one hand, resting hands naturally, and sitting sideways to elongate leg curves, expressing character traits through these subtle postural shifts.
In post-processing, we maintained a bright, non-gloomy color tone, allowing pink, white, and purple to harmonize while remaining distinct in layers. Some chibi elements were added as creative decorations, enhancing visual fun and anime characteristics without disrupting the original costume design. Although styling the wig and dress hem along with standing in high-heeled sandals for long periods tested physical stamina—leaving me genuinely fatigued after filming—seeing this soft, textured atmosphere in the final photos made all the refining well worth it. This combination of delicate details and a dreamy set captured the character's gentle yet charming unique aura, fulfilling most of my expectations for this Spring photoshoot theme. I look forward to these photos bringing everyone a relaxing visual warmth akin to bright spring sunshine when presented.
