This set of convention photos brings a complete presentation of the Nikke Alice costume. Choosing this look is not only because the white dress is highly eye-catching, but also because it combines a sense of refinement with the character's unique gap moe contrast charm. The wig consists of soft, light pink-and-white twin tails, paired with fluffy rabbit ear decorations and small animal hairpins on the side, making the overall look visually very light. The collar around the neck is inlaid with a small red heart, adding a touch of bright color to the white base tone. The sheer tulle on the chest works beautifully with the three-dimensional rose embroidery and lace trim, presenting a texture that is both pure and subtly sexy.
During the shooting process, many thanks to photographer @Pulao411 for the mastery of light and shadow. Figure 3, where I'm sitting on a high stool cradling a large grey bunny, is a personal favorite of mine; the figure is perfectly centered, and the over-the-knee socks and pink-and-white platform shoes are well displayed, bursting with a relaxed vibe. Regarding props, that plush rabbit with a large pink bow has a great touch, and combined with the white skirt and my standing pose, it perfectly presents that tsundere and cute vibe of "don't underestimate the bunny."
As for the weapon prop, that sniper rifle painted in black, white, and pink is an important element. In Figure 1, I half-squat down, holding this toy gun with both hands. The large area of pink on the gun body not only echoes the color scheme of the outfit but also counteracts the rugged hardness of the firearm itself. The black tactical scope and long barrel gleam with texture under the studio's strong lights, lending the image both sweetness and a hint of combat atmosphere. Figure 4 experimented with a composition where the muzzle is slightly tilted upwards, fully maximizing the lens's depth and perspective, which required extremely precise focal length control to showcase that split-second concentration in front of the scope.
This outfit demands highly of pose management. In Figure 2, I adopted a standing posture, lightly placing one hand against my lips while the other hand hangs down naturally, allowing a complete view of the multi-material sleeves and the layered hem of the white dress. The lace trim on the skirt hem is very delicate, meeting the over-the-knee socks at just the right point, which nicely elongates the visual effect. Under the convention's background lighting, although the several spotlights overhead made the environment look dark, they happened to cast perfect rim lighting, making the figure stand out against the dark-toned concrete floor and black background.
White clothing really tests the exposure in environments with complex light sources like a comic convention, but the details in the final prints are well-preserved. Neither the thin string laces on the sleeves nor the patent leather texture of the platform shoes are overexposed into washed-out whites in the images. Recommending Figure 3 as the cover photo, besides reflecting the casual nature of the sitting pose, the substantial volume of the plush toy and the visual elongation of the over-the-knee socks perfectly fit the atmosphere of convention photos. In post-processing, the color profile leans toward clean and translucent, without intentionally jacking up the contrast, thus preserving the soft texture of the picture.
Honestly, at the shoot location, holding up the prop gun while maintaining expression management, and having to free up hands to cradle a massive plush rabbit, was quite a challenge for both physical stamina and body control. However, seeing the final sets of photos from Figure 1 to Figure 4 across different angles makes me feel all the prior hard work was worth it. The design of this outfit worn for the shoot is very exquisite in its details; whether it's the sheer fabric or the tiny lace embellishments on the chest, they silently elevate the completeness of this work. This set of photos captures the vibrant moments I wanted to present to everyone at the convention. I hope to come across more suitable settings in the future to shoot more interesting practice pieces, gradually improving my ability to portray characters through anime-style photography.
