This time, I specially prepared two looks for my Jinling THO independent travel, with repeated adjustments made to everything from wig trimming to accessory details to elevate the quality of my Touhou Project cosplay. The red and white shrine maiden uniform in the picture is a recently remade version. The tassels on the cuffs and the pleats on the skirt match the texture of the original illustrations better than before. The red base with white borders paired with golden cord knots keeps the overall color saturation controlled and soft, avoiding a harsh look under bright outdoor light. The other retro Western-style dress look experimented with a more complex combination of hair accessories; the layered feel of silk flowers and metal chains turned out unexpectedly photogenic during the actual shoot.

During the shoot, we specially selected two scenes: a cherry blossom grove and a backlit forest path. The cherry blossom foreground naturally frames the facial contours, while the backlighting allows a soft halo to filter through the edges of the hair strands. In post-processing, only the color temperature and contrast were tweaked slightly to preserve the original skin texture and the true fabric feel of the clothes for this Cosplay photography project. The weather in Nanjing during July is sultry, and outdoor shooting is indeed a test of physical stamina, but thinking about appearing at the fan gathering with a complete image makes all these preparations worth it. The application process for independent travel has also been fully completed according to the official announcement, and next is eagerly looking forward to our offline encounter on July 4th at the Touhou Only venue.
