[Luo Tianyi & Yuezheng Ling Cosplay] Taishan Ancient Style Garden Outdoor Location: March Rain Falls with Everlasting Memories

March rain, thousands of threads bringing everlasting memories. This set of ancient style outdoor location final photos from the Taishan garden has been compiled. I took charge of both the modeling and post-processing this time, while my partner Weiru handled the other sharp red and black look. We chose an old garden in Taishan with a traditional Chinese corridor, rockeries, and flowing water for the shoot. This photo set captures six different scenes, including gently holding hands in the corridor, gazing into the distance by the rockery while holding an orange-red oil-paper umbrella, interacting by the pavilion railing while pointing afar, and sitting back-to-back in a relaxed state on the stone steps. My outfit, a light blue off-the-shoulder Han-element dress with subtle patterns, paired with a white tulle silk stole and a blue-and-red headpiece, looks relatively ethereal and soft. Meanwhile, Weiru's sharp outfit features a red and black color-blocking design, paired with black bracers and platform boots, presenting a clean and dashing temperament. The two form an excellent contrast and complement each other in both color and style. During the shoot, we didn't deliberately strike overly complex poses; many movements were improvised according to the atmosphere, such as holding hands and gazing at each other in the first photo, and spacing out while sitting on the steps in the last one, which turned out to be the most fitting for the feeling we wanted to express. Since I was responsible for both the cosplay photography and post-processing, the original lighting environment was actually quite dim. During color grading, I focused on controlling the translucency of the light-colored clothes and facial skin tones, and specifically desaturated the background green of the garden a bit. This makes the frame look cleaner, highlighting the soft texture of the ancient style, while also brightening up the characters from the cluttered background. Paired with that orange-red oil-paper umbrella as a bright accent, the overall color composition has a clear primary and secondary order. The headpieces and wigs were repeatedly adjusted several times before the shoot. Although the outdoor weather was slightly humid and hot, it was totally worth it to capture this slow-paced, quiet, and elegant ancient style duo interaction. The entire photo set mainly utilizes natural diffused light, avoiding harsh shadows to make the character silhouettes appear softer, seamlessly merging with the unique, tranquil atmosphere of the Taishan garden.
