[Ganyu Cosplay] Liyue's Adeptus Qilin Under Nightfall, Twilight Blossom Holding a Magic Orb

This photo set took about a week of preparation from concept to shoot. The outfit is a modified version of Twilight Blossom, shortening the originally ethereal long skirt into a high-slit mini design better suited for indoor close-ups. Paired with black sheer long sleeves and arm guards, it retains the cool, distant charm of Liyue characters visually while making it easier to present various dynamic postures on wooden couches and sitting benches.

The shooting scene was set in a wooden room rich in traditional Chinese charm. The walls were hung with large ink wash landscape paintings, flanked by artfully arranged potted emerald bamboo and a paper lantern casting warm yellow light. This environment inherently carries a serene atmosphere that perfectly fits the character's illuminated beast lore. For prop selection, I prepared an oil-paper umbrella, a lotus round fan, a wooden pipa, and a blue glowing sphere simulating magic energy. To help everyone feel a richer Teyvat continent vibe, some post-processing adjustments were made on the glowing orb and ground mist effects.

This shoot was completed entirely by myself, acting as both model and photographer, which required constant tweaking between poses and shutter releases. For photography equipment, I used a Sony A7M4 throughout, paired with FE 50mm F1.2 GM and FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lenses. The 50mm's large aperture performed exceptionally well during half-body close-ups and facial expressions, clearly capturing eyes and eyelashes; while the 24-70mm was used more to showcase full-body garment structures and prop layering—especially when shooting the two large blue bows on the back and trailing tassels, where wide-angle fine-tuning provided a fantastic spatial perspective.

To showcase the character's elegance and agility, I specially designed several body poses. For example, reclining upside down on a wooden bench with legs extending upward created an inverted visual playfulness, perfectly highlighting the golden vine motifs on the legs and black platform leather shoes. Another was lying sideways on a wooden couch, holding up the round fan with one hand and interacting with the camera lens through gaze, striving to present a lazy yet mysterious air. The hardest shot was actually kneeling while holding the orb, as I had to manage both holding the umbrella and casting hand seals; the body's center of gravity had to be kept very low while keeping the back straight. Maintaining this pose for nearly half an hour until lighting and expression reached their most natural state, I finally pressed the shutter.

For makeup and hair, the blue wig was styled in distinct layers, retaining the signature dragon horn hairpieces. Eye makeup utilized a subtle blend of soft pink and purple, paired with red lips to neutralize the coldness brought by blue and add spark to the gaze. For the color grading of the entire set, I made deliberate post-processing choices: warm yellow ambient light formed a vivid cold-warm contrast with the icy blue costume and magic effects. Even a small metallic bell swaying at the chest reflected a comfortable texture. This post doesn't use overly ornate rhetoric, but rather serves as a small summary of the constant conceptualization before each shutter click, presenting the quiet yet powerful Liyue Adeptus Qilin in my heart.
