For this Arknights Ptilopsis "Fuyunjian" official photo set, the idea for the shoot was to present a highly relaxed everyday state. I was initially worried that the pure white and light blue color palette would look plain, but once I got the actual outfit in hand, I found that the layering of the fabric and the textures on the waistband were handled very meticulously, especially the blue-and-white patchwork at the neckline and cuffs, which carries a subtle, profound depth. As the character's iconic little companion, placing the owl plushie next to the guqin, cradling it in my arms, or letting it act as a bystander to the Go match all add a sense of breathability to the frame. I specially brought along a guqin; although it mainly serves as a background prop, its dark lacquered finish and wooden lines form an excellent color harmony with the character's predominantly white costume, preventing the image from feeling too weightless and lacking a center of gravity.

On the technical side of the Cosplay photography, we utilized a warm yellow main light source for backlighting. Shined onto the hair, it formed a very soft halo, and even the details on the edges of the eyelashes were outlined, lending the entire frame an inherently gentle and warm quality. Inside the scene, we also arranged translucent wooden grid paper doors and suspended calligraphy fabric banners, which, combined with the wooden floor and straw-woven cushions, completely dialed up the atmosphere of a quiet match in this Traditional Chinese style cosplay setting. During the shoot, we didn't intentionally force any rigid poses, choosing instead to capture natural split seconds within subtle interactions like playing Go or teasing the owl plushie. The photographer's snapshot timing was excellent, precisely catching details such as the lines of my fingers at the exact moment a stone was placed, or the focus in my eyes when tilting my head.

In post-processing, we briefly smoothed out the skin tones while preserving the contrast between light and shadow, doing our best to minimize overly harsh reflections to keep the image sufficiently soft and clean. Although the entire shooting process involved a lot of preparation, the final photos successfully convey the character's relaxed yet slightly mysterious traits, making it a highly satisfying reward for all the details fine-tuned during the preparation stage.
