The second event of this portrait photography trip featured an extremely high compatibility between the venue and the theme. Coupled with the extra sponsorship from Teacher Sushi Jiangjiangjiang, the overall shooting experience was a great value. This styling chose classic bunny girl elements but presented them in a somewhat hardcore style. A black strapless tight short dress paired with a white shirt fake collar and white sleeves creates a strong black-and-white contrast visually. The lower body features black garter stockings with prominent decorative lines on the back, paired with black strappy stiletto heels, giving the overall style a bit of a cool and edgy texture. The fluffy bunny ears on top neutralize this sternness, highlighting the theme of gap moe.
The first set of scenes was arranged in the bathroom, where the white freestanding bathtub was surrounded by a large number of clean white cotton balls, creating a pure atmosphere resembling snow or clouds. I sat on the edge of the bathtub, using its curve and height to extend my leg lines forward as much as possible, with my body slightly turned, cooperating with the photographer's lens to capture the details of the stockings and high heels. Water droplet details were intentionally added to the shoulders to increase a moist texture, making the frame more layered. The Fujifilm X-H2 paired with the XF 16-55mm lens performed exceptionally well in such interlaced light-and-shadow environments. The straight-out-of-camera color reproduction is high, and it preserves a very good skin texture, presenting a clean and translucent visual effect without excessive post-processing.
The second set of scenes shifted to the off-white sofa in the living room, where the atmosphere was much more relaxed. I changed into several different sitting postures, sometimes crossing my legs to showcase the lines of the garter stockings, and sometimes using a houndstooth pillow as support, adjusting the body's tilt angle to find the best light and shadow. Shooting such clothing with sexy attributes is key to controlling body language. It shouldn't look deliberate; curves should be displayed in a natural and relaxed state. For example, looking back sideways on the sofa or resting the chin on one hand, the gaze needs to maintain a confident and slightly distant state to better fit the theme of gap moe. @Heitao (Introvert Photographer) was very professional in guiding the poses, allowing me to quickly get into the state.
Finally, joining another friend wearing a dark blue tank dress, white shirt, and striped bow tie, the frame immediately produced a different chemical reaction when the two appeared together. One tended towards cool glamour, and the other towards academy style, cooperating with each other on the sofa to add some interaction and fun.
The entire shooting process went very smoothly. Encountering such a suitable venue and an excellent photography logistics team for the second event was truly a wonderful experience. For styles with black elements and stockings, the use of lighting is extremely important. Overexposure causes texture loss, while underexposure loses details. This time, matching the dynamic range of the Fujifilm camera achieved a good balance between the dark environment of the bathtub and the bright environment of the sofa, making it a very satisfying creation.
