[Maruyama Aya cosplay] Ready in Top Form for Shanghai BanG Dream! Only Cosplay Independent Travel

Heading to Shanghai on October 5th to participate in BanG Dream! Only Cosplay independent travel, with the applied character being Maruyama Aya. To faithfully capture Aya-chan's energetic and adorably sweet charm, I put immense effort into wig trimming and eye makeup, especially adjusting the curvature at the outer corners of the eyes multiple times. For the outfit, this blue sailor uniform and gray bow tie were custom-tailored; the fabric was chosen to be crisp and structured so it won't sag when worn. Combined with the layered white trim and sailor collar, the visual output looks very clean and polished.

In addition to the two outdoor school-themed photo sets, I also shot an indoor Gothic-style set featuring black bunny ears and long blue wavy hair paired with a black lace dress, complemented by blue crystal props and a carved chair, wanting to explore Aya-chan's gentle yet subtly mysterious side. This costume actually has many intricate details, such as the ruffles on the cuffs and the blue ribbon at the waist—every single thread was manually adjusted by hand. The black stockings were also deliberately chosen to be slightly sheer; paired with the black-and-blue trimmed boots, they visually elongate the leg lines, making the overall silhouette more complete.

The weather was fantastic on the day of the shoot: the outdoor cherry blossom trees and green foliage gave the frame a very fresh color tone, while the indoor blue lighting instantly shifted the mood. Carrying the camera and lighting gear around on my own was exhausting, but seeing the desired vibe captured in the final shots made everything feel completely worthwhile. This application for Cosplay independent travel is primarily to meet up with fellow fans in person. There will definitely be many fun interactions on-site, and I've even prepared some small props to play with everyone.

Regarding the event location: Building 25, Jiaoyun Zhihuiwan, Baoshan District, Shanghai. I've already looked up the route in advance, and transportation is quite convenient. I hope to meet more friends who love BanG Dream! on the day, chat about characters and live performances, or even strike a few in-game poses on the spot for group photos. This cosplay is a fresh venture for me—from hairstyles to makeup and facial expression control, every aspect strives to get closer to the character herself.

Although the hair and eye colors come from a wig and colored contacts, wearing them genuinely brings that feeling of being possessed by the character. Especially when standing under cherry blossom trees or sitting on an ornate black chair, I can't help but immerse myself in Aya-chan's hardworking and earnest personality.
