To capture Odette from Genshin Impact's icy nation of Snezhnaya, pre-production began two full weeks in advance. Recreating that aloof, wistful temperament demands far more than just slipping into a costume; the true key lies in the makeup nuances and ambient mood.
The wardrobe is loaded with intricate details. The bodice is a blue-and-white form-fitting corset crafted from subtly lustrous satin for a premium finish, while the chest is adorned with intricate gilded metal filigree anchored by a crimson gem centerpiece. A trim of white plush down along the collarline was hand-stitched to introduce an airy, delicate touch with every movement. Detached sleeves and gloves feature deep-navy sequined patterns that scatter delicate glints under studio strobes. The pleated skirt incorporates multi-tiered light-and-deep blue color blocking, with hemline curves meticulously steamed. The trailing semi-sheer ribbons printed with starry gradient nebulae form the heart of the ensemble, visually elongating body proportions as they cascade behind me.
