This set of W cosplay photos was shot at the Hypergryph Carnival, and after sorting through the raw shots, I wanted to share the finished pictures right away. Overall, I am quite satisfied with both the preparation beforehand and the performance on site.
The pair of huge pink fluffy animal ears on my head serves as the visual centerpiece of the entire look. To keep them fixed and dimensional, a lot of effort went into the hairpiece support structure. For the wig, I chose low twin-tails paired with white petal hairclips on both sides; combined with the light pink hair color, it creates soft color layers under the bright exhibition lighting. The upper body features a white semi-transparent techwear jacket over a pink top—the lightweight fabric creates a nice flowy motion when walking. At the neckline, the black bow tie, orange lanyard, and decorative buckles on the chest all echo the character's signature elements in detail.
For the lower half, I chose a black-and-grey plaid miniskirt with a rim of faux white rabbit fur sewn along the hem, enhancing the overall fluffy texture. The waist features a high-capacity tactical belt system, with a striking orange pouch hanging on the left hip, and blue buckle straps along with transparent accessories on the right hip, giving it a strong deconstructed feel. My right hand wears a bright orange fingerless glove with a black wristband, creating just the right color contrast with the outfit. On my legs, I wore white over-the-knee stockings, with a pink-and-black techwear tactical leg pouch strapped to my right leg; during the shoot, this detail stood out vividly under the flash and venue ambient light. On my feet were black-and-white color-blocked platform sneakers, balancing mobility with techwear aesthetics.
The venue was packed and lively on the day of the shoot, with huge crowds, but the photographer patiently looked for angles and captured many fantastic moments. The shot sitting on the carpet, in particular, conveyed the character's lazy yet sharp and detached expression. While posing, I also had to pay special attention to wrist angles and leg positions to ensure the orange glove, pink leg ring, and white stockings were fully showcased in the frame.
Even though the air conditioning at the exhibition was turned up high, the breathability of the costume was quite good, so I didn't feel overly stuffy despite taking photos all day. This look merges cute animal ears with hardcore techwear style; it retains an approachable, cute appearance while expressing a unique personality through accessories—I really love this sense of contrast. Until the earth turns into a lime, I will strive to express the essence of the character through the lens. At this Hypergryph Carnival, I not only got satisfying photos but also felt the intense and enthusiastic fan atmosphere, making it a truly unique experience.
