[Hinoshita Kaho Cosplay] Love Live! Hasunosora Jogakuin School Idol Club Summer Style — Refreshing Sea Day Swimsuit Look

For this Marine Day themed shoot, I chose Kaho Hinoshita in her summer look from Love Live! Hasunosora Jogakuin School Idol Club. The overall visual tone was set to a lively, cheerful poolside summer style. To complement the character's high-energy personality, the photographer specially prepared a giant pink heart-shaped inflatable swim ring as an interactive prop. This prop not only framed the upper body but also provided an excellent compositional focal point.

In terms of styling details, the most eye-catching feature is the orange-pink wig. After precise trimming and end-curling, it beautifully restored the hair texture that looks as if it were soaked in summer sunlight. The white plush bunny ears on top were carefully selected, adorned with yellow bows and small blue hair clips to give the head styling a more three-dimensional and adorable feel. For facial makeup, I opted for a lightweight base paired with orange-pink eyeshadow that echoed the wig color. Blue contact lenses enhanced the clear transparency of the eyes, making her gaze appear exceptionally vivid under bright ambient light.

Regarding outfit coordination, I chose a loose white sheer cover-up, a semi-translucent material that offers a breezy, breathable feel in summer beach or poolside settings. Underneath was a color-blocked striped bandeau top, featuring an orange-yellow-red gradient reminiscent of refreshing summer soda. The bottom consisted of a multi-tiered ruffled skirt with layered pink, white, and yellow tulle that swayed lightly with movement. For accessories, a pearl necklace paired with orange-and-white flower ornaments adorned the neckline to prevent the open neck area from looking plain, while a vibrant neon-green chunky bracelet added a playful pop of color and fashion flair.

The set design was meticulously planned beforehand. A round "MENU" light box in the background, a red-and-white lifebuoy on the wall, woven rattan-textured tables and chairs, and faux tropical greenery created a resort bar corner balancing a 2D aesthetic with realistic presence. For lighting, the photographer used high-brightness setups with softboxes to simulate bright summer sunlight, giving the overall frame a high-key, crisp, and translucent texture without heavy shadows, which highlighted skin luster and vivid outfit colors.

When it came to posing, I experimented with various ways to interact with the swim ring. The pose selected in this photo shows me partially embracing the swim ring, using arm curves to form two echoing heart shapes with the prop. Leaning slightly forward not only visually elongated proportions but also clearly displayed the chest and neckline layering. To keep hand gestures natural, I adjusted finger tension so grasping the edge of the ring didn't look stiff. Furthermore, the white grid fence and decorative plants in the background created rich color and material contrasts with the pink swim ring and vibrant outfit.

Reflecting on this look's presentation, I want to emphasize that cosplay is not merely about replicating a character's outfit and styling—it's about capturing the character's emotional state within a specific scene. Hinoshita Kaho is always bursting with energy in the story of Hasunosora, so I wanted this set of Marine Day photos to convey a pure, contagious joy. From adjusting the wig placement to securing accessories and balancing makeup colors, the photography team and I poured utmost care into aligning every detail with the summer seaside vibe. Completing this shoot and seeing the bright, sun-kissed results serves as a wonderful memory for this summer theme in our Cosplay photography journey.
