Long time no see, Traveler. The last time I cosplayed Ganyu was two years ago; putting on this outfit again truly makes me feel the progress I've made over these two years. Back when I first entered the hobby, whether trimming wigs or adjusting makeup, everything felt somewhat clumsy, and I didn't even know how to pose during outdoor shoots. This time, to faithfully restore Ganyu's aloof yet gentle temperament, I began polishing the details well in advance. From styling and trimming the wig to the golden patterns on the costume, and those high heels with red straps, I hoped to achieve the very best within my capabilities in every single aspect.

The outdoor location this time was chosen in a traditional garden with ponds, rockeries, and bamboo groves. The weather was fairly nice on the day of the shoot; sunlight filtered through bamboo leaves onto the stones, creating wonderful light and shadow. Walking along the verandas in this attire while holding an oil-paper umbrella and a circular fan truly gave the sensation of breaking through the dimensional wall. The white walls and gray tiles, combined with red lanterns hanging beneath the eaves, matched the color palette of this outfit with exceptional texture. However, walking on stone paths in high heels was indeed quite a test of balance; to capture flattering angles, I adjusted numerous poses sitting and standing on the rocks by the water. While the dark pantyhose Stockings and golden patterns were visually very accurate to the design, it was still somewhat stifling to shoot outdoors—yet for the final result, that was nothing.

Every cosplay is genuinely a dual test of physical stamina and patience. For the makeup this time, I experimented with slightly different techniques, hoping to get closer to the character's feel. For instance, the layering of the eye makeup and the lip shade were adjusted back and forth several times. During the shoot, I also communicated continuously with the photographer, trying out different angles to showcase the costume's details—such as sitting by the pool to display leg lines, or glancing back at the lens while standing in the corridor. Seeing the finished photos, I felt these two years of exploration were not in vain. From being a complete beginner at the start to now being able to take control of the entire process from wardrobe to shooting, every photo release is a milestone. I still remember when I cosplayed this character for the first time two years ago; due to nervousness and inexperience, many ideas went unrealized. Being able to capture all the previously envisioned poses and emotions in such an atmospheric garden this time was truly fulfilling.

Standing by the water watching koi swim back and forth while listening to the sound of the waterfall, all fatigue seemed to dissipate in that moment. Although moving around outdoors with headpieces and a wig was exhausting, and shoe heels frequently got stuck in stone crevices, looking at the images appearing in the camera made everything feel completely worthwhile. This feeling of bringing a virtual character into reality cannot be replaced by anything else. I also found myself more natural in front of the lens, able to better express the character's emotions through body language. Thank you everyone for your enduring tolerance and love; I will continue to hold onto this passion to recreate more beloved characters. Moving forward, I will keep working hard and strive to bring higher-quality works. Thank you for your love, woof.
