Shooting Wilhelmina from Brown Dust 2 this time around required an extraordinary amount of thought poured into costumes, makeup, and props. This white military uniform, accented by golden chest embroidery and royal blue ribbons, looks undeniably magnificent on camera, yet wearing it was an immense physical challenge. To faithfully recreate the sleek, commanding silhouette of the King of Beren, I opted for a premium royal blue skintight bodysuit for the lower half. While this fabric catches light with gorgeous specular sheen, the trade-off is very limited elasticity—eating even a little too much or taking excessively deep breaths left me feeling tightly constricted. Still, to achieve that sharp, sculpted figure before the lens, that bit of hardship was completely worth it.

What I had the strongest love-hate relationship with was that pair of black patent leather over-the-knee boots. Featuring tall heels and a rigid, structured shaft, getting into them required sliding my legs in with plastic bags just to squeeze through. Once on, my knees were practically locked straight, forcing me to walk with stiff, unbending legs. The sword in hand carried noticeable weight as well; holding the hilt one-handed while maintaining posture demanded continuous core engagement. After putting on the golden wig, the bangs had to remain perfectly aligned before my eyes without stray flyaways. For makeup, I steered away from anything cute, opting for sharp, sculpted eye contours and deepened lines to embody an aloof, regal aura—after all, as the King of Beren, one's gaze must carry absolute authority.

The shooting location was an expansive, vacant exhibition hall, where gray concrete floors and industrial ceiling trusses impeccably accentuated the character's solemn, formidable gravity. To capture dynamic movement in the cape, I flung it repeatedly before the camera. Though billowing effortlessly in the photos, the cape's substantial surface area created heavy wind resistance; every forceful whip lashed the fabric across my arms, after which I had to snap into a rigid, commanding pose instantly—locking my gaze and keeping my expression razor-sharp. The photographer fired numerous takes to capture that elusive balance of dynamic visual tension and rock-solid poise.

Reflecting across this entire shoot, my greatest takeaway was that a character's commanding presence relies on far more than just attire—it demands disciplined posture and resolute eye contact. Standing before the lens, I constantly recited her sense of mission and unyielding defiance in my head, compelling myself to sustain a proud, upright stance. Though walking in this getup was physically exhausting, seeing the final retouched shots—the metallic sheen of the armor, the sleek contours of the bodysuit, and the glossy reflections on the patent leather boots—made every ounce of effort feel thoroughly rewarded. I am personally thrilled with this photoset, as it truly brought out the character's unyielding grit and noble majesty.
