This shoot features Alice from the collaboration between Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation and Brown Dust 2. For the wardrobe, I went with a black patent leather bodysuit. This material produces an intense sheen during studio photography, placing high demands on lighting—one careless angle and the silhouette instantly looks flat. Pairing a crisp white shirt collar with a red ribbon tie broke up the heavy darkness across the chest. Once I slipped on the white wrist-length gloves and black cat-ear headband, the overall catgirl ambiance fell into place immediately.

Regarding the wig, Alice's crimson hair is iconic. To capture that brazen, fiery energy, I chose a wig in high-saturation red and paid special attention to styling that perked-up ahoge strand at the crown. For makeup, reddish eyeshadow deepened the contours of the eye sockets, while a bold, saturated classic red lipstick echoed the hair color. For props, I prepared oversized plush black cat paws lined with pink paw pads, adding a cheeky, playful contrast when posing with them.

The shoot was split into two setups. The first was set on a wooden high stool with my legs crossed. This posture is deceptively demanding; to properly display the gloss of both the patent leather and black stockings, the leg muscles had to stay taut, while the red-soled stilettos had to hit the exact angle so studio lights carved a gorgeous, crisp highlight across the stockings. The second setup moved to a white cylindrical plinth, extending both legs forward to visually stretch proportions. Raising the plush paws aloft evoked the agile grace of a feline stretching its limbs. The entire studio session ran on pure adrenaline; wearing stiletto heels and a fitted bodysuit was physically taxing, but beholding the textural play of light and shadow in the final stills proved the combination was well worth the effort.

Touching upon the outfit's finer details: the waist features an accentuated cinched cut, which, combined with the micro-shorts silhouette, sharply flatters body curves. The hosiery used was an ultra-sheer glossy variety that resonated seamlessly with the patent leather finish. Under the strobes, the sharp reflections of the patent leather and the slick sheen of the black stockings separated with distinct, rich layers. During shooting intervals, I continually adjusted my mental headspace: Alice inherently possesses pride and a fiery, combative temperament, meaning my gaze could not appear soft, but rather carry a sharp, aloof edge. Especially when seated on the stool, keeping the spine straight, tucking the chin slightly, and casting my eyes downward naturally brought forth that commanding presence.

Overall, the props and costuming prepared for this session performed brilliantly. The pairing of cat paws and cat ears infused a delightful gap-moe contrast into an otherwise fierce, cool styling. I plan to explore more textural pairings like this in the future and continue producing works across diverse styles.
