[Palette cosplay] Brown Dust 2 Magical Girl arrives at CICF Expo to catch everyone! - Image 1

Palette's Magical Girl styling is fully prepped—CICF Expo, here I come! Just getting the hair and makeup ready for this convention took quite a bit of effort beforehand. For the wig, I selected intensely saturated purple long straight hair, spending considerable time trimming the bangs to ensure wispy strands fell naturally. Paired with blue-purple star hairpins along the edges and that oversized purple-blue gradient bow on the right side, the overall palette came out richly vibrant. Long white ribbons dangled from the bow, adding a lovely sense of movement when walking. For makeup, to align with the character's mysterious allure, I chose purplish-red contact lenses, deepened the eyeliner and eyeshadow, and applied an orange-leaning lipstick to brighten my complexion. Wearing a beige long-sleeved shirt softened the intense tone of the wig, giving the ensemble a more casual, comfortable feel. My hands were styled with long white manicures, and I used a pair of glasses as a secondary prop to infuse a subtle campus vibe during poses.

While walking the convention hall, this styling definitely turned heads. When I posted "come catch me!" in the feed, it was really all about engaging with everyone; the atmosphere at CICF Expo was truly wonderful, filled with enthusiastic photographers and fellow fans who gladly helped one another scout the best angles. Walking around the halls in this getup, I couldn't resist snapping a few selfies even during the commute ride. As a magical girl from Brown Dust 2, Palette inherently carries a vibrant, mischievous charm that I worked hard to capture through my gazes and gestures. From early makeup tests to the live event, the preparation was complex, but seeing the final photos made it clear the results lived up to expectations. Maintaining the wig's volume and the placement of accessories required constant attention to detail—especially that large bow, which had to be protected from getting squished in dense crowds or inside vehicles. Makeup longevity also demanded regular checks, but thankfully the base makeup held solidly. The convention is truly such a magical space where everyone can celebrate and embody the characters they love, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of preparing and shooting this look. When opportunities arise, I'll definitely keep exploring other styles from this series while refining my makeup and expression techniques.
