These Wishadel Cosplay event photos are among my favorite recent works. In character lore, she was personally named by Her Highness Theresa, so throughout the shoot I constantly tried to embody that mindset—playful on the surface, yet carrying profound weight inside. The highlights of this outfit are the contrasting red and black colors, the distressed down jacket, and the mechanical tail components on the back.
The convention was very crowded on the day, and the venue lighting was quite chaotic. To emphasize the character's texture, my photographer and I scouted a corner beforehand with a relatively clean background and decent lighting. The shoot was physically demanding—that massive sniper rifle and the mechanical spikes on the back were far heavier than expected. In particular, the chair pose in Photo 3 required stabilizing my core to balance while maintaining crisp leg lines and a fierce presence, which was truly a test of core strength.
I put a lot of thought into the wig and red eyes. To match her gaze, I switched to orange-red contact lenses. After styling with hairspray, I made sure the hair retained a natural flow, and I painted the red nails myself piece by piece. The prop surfaces were painted with weathered battle damage, and many passersby stopped to take photos. Since it was shot at a convention where the light shifted rapidly, we mostly relied on quick captures and repeatedly adjusted angles. I'm glad that the gear's details turned out so faithfully; the red and black attire had great texture under specific lighting. The whole shoot was very fulfilling—while moving through crowds was tiring, immersing myself in a Roleplay and expressing my interpretation through body language is a truly rewarding and joyful experience.
