[Enterprise Cosplay] Azur Lane Swimsuit Outfit: Firefly ACG Expo Convention Photography Record

During the Firefly ACG Expo photoshoot for this pure white gauzy Swimsuit cosplay look, the lighting on site was softer than I had anticipated. The ambient venue light naturally toned down reflections on the silver-white wig, bringing out the layered edge textures without the harsh white blowout often caused by aggressive studio lights.

The craftsmanship of this outfit is exceptionally refined, with multiple layers of soft tulle stacked on the outer layer to create voluminous ruffled edges. Although convention halls are notoriously warm, the breathable fabric made moving around lightweight and comfortable, significantly easing the physical burden during long hall sessions. Underneath, a glossy white satin ultra-short skirt reflected flash photography beautifully, which together with a delicate gold waist chain not only highlighted the refreshing Swimsuit cosplay theme, but also elevated the overall sophistication. To match her persona, I softened my eyebrow arches into a gentle, natural feather-stroke flat shape. The eyes featured a broad wash of pale lavender eyeshadow paired with small-diameter contacts for a clear, translucent gaze, while hydrating, glossy red lips balanced the cool tones of the silver-white wig to give her overall aura a more vivid, gentle warmth.

The props used during the shoot added a fun touch. The orange beverage with ice cubes in my hand was actually a realistic photography prop. While shooting the second frame where I looked back toward the lens, we noticed how wonderfully the light refracting through the faux ice cubes complemented the refreshing color scheme—needing only light color adjustments in post-processing for an excellent visual impact. On the left side of the background, a giant yellow round prop served as an accent, adding a pop of warm, playful color so the overall frame wouldn't feel overly cool or sterile.

Naturally, the on-site experience at the Firefly ACG Expo posed quite a challenge for convention photography. The ambient lighting surrounding the booth was chaotic, featuring blue and white main light sources from various display boards alongside strong overhead lights. To achieve refined texture in such complex lighting, we adjusted camera angles multiple times. For front-facing half-body shots, a slightly lower perspective captured both the steps and the large yellow plush prop, crafting a complete, story-driven scene. The over-the-shoulder frame exposing one shoulder demanded clean neck and shoulder contours, prompting me to strictly monitor my diet a week prior for optimal camera presence. The wig was the absolute centerpiece of this look; since silver-white long straight bangs easily flatten or mess up, I carried two combs around the hall to groom the bangs and curvature of the ends during every break, ensuring the hair maintained its fresh, fluid appearance throughout the shoot.

Although silver-white styling looks ethereal on camera, it easily gets soiled in crowded hall environments, especially the wig ends and white gauzy fabrics. After wrapping up this photo set, we had virtually no time to explore other booth areas before returning to the rest area for basic cleanup. Behind every successful set—from meticulous wig styling and thoughtful prop selection to adaptive makeup tailored for venue conditions—lies days of advance planning and preparation. Appearing at the convention of a beloved franchise in a complete, flawless state is incredibly meaningful to me. I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with the photographer at Firefly ACG Expo, as everyone strove for perfection in every detail to deliver the finest visual presentation to everyone viewing these photos.
