【Laffey Cosplay】Tipsy Invitation from Azur Lane Bunny Girl - Image 2

Putting on this blue-and-white Bunny girl outfit instantly awakened that lazy yet slightly dorky character trait. The two huge bunny ears on my head are very eye-catching, featuring a white plush material on the outside and soft pink lining on the inside, which, paired with a blue headband and plush pom-poms on both sides, makes the design highly recognizable. The overall outfit is a blue body-con bodysuit with a silky texture; the off-the-shoulder design displays shoulder and necklines, while the edges and sleeves of the bodysuit are embellished with extremely fluffy large white pom-poms, giving the look both Bunny girl playfulness and plenty of soft warmth.

For makeup, I chose a translucent, fair base paired with pinkish-red contact lenses to recreate that clear yet slightly sleepy gaze. To match the Bunny girl theme this time, I specifically picked a pair of fine-textured pure white stockings, which are not only visually clean and pure but also echo the small bunny details on the shoe toes nicely. The footwear consists of white flat shoes, also featuring 3D white bunny face decorations at the toe. Although the entire look is filled with cute elements, the overall tailoring retains the unique sexiness of Bunny girl style—especially the combination of bodysuit and white stockings, which elongates leg proportions beautifully on camera.

The shoot took place in a room with a vintage atmosphere. The dark green leather sofa adorned with metal rivets formed a striking color-block contrast with the royal blue outfit, highlighting the subject. The wood-grain wall panels in the background, maps and picture frames hanging on the wall, and a white electric bass placed on the left all added rich layers and a lived-in feel to the photos, avoiding the monotony of a simple studio shoot. When interpreting Laffey, I intentionally adjusted my standing and sitting postures, relaxing my body slightly and looking into the lens with a natural, casual gaze—a state that best fits her character impression. Gently cradling the small white rabbit plush brooch on my chest with both hands, my fingertips naturally pointed toward it, turning this cute prop into the visual focal point of the frame to enhance interactive realism.

During the cosplay photoshoot process, beyond accurately restoring costumes and wigs, finding emotional tones aligned with the character's personality is a key aspect. Laffey is a character who often drinks, speaks slowly, yet possesses strong combat power, so expressions and body posture cannot be overly tense. Today's photo set attempted to capture her harmless, lazy daily side while reinterpreting the classic Bunny girl theme. Wearing these white stockings and blue bodysuit while sitting on the green retro sofa created a very relaxed atmosphere. Natural light and reflector fill light gave the photos a soft, non-harsh effect.

In post-processing, I refrained from exaggerated photo editing or filters, preserving the raw image's texture and natural fabric reflections—such as the satin sheen on the bodysuit and the fluffiness of the pom-poms. This translucent texture better recreates the integration of 2D characters into reality, allowing viewers to feel the care put into makeup, styling, and photography. Behind every successful cosplay is attention to detail: from combing the wig to smoothing the stockings, from securing accessories to lighting angles, every step aims to present a visual state closest to the character. I hope that through this set of photos, you can feel the unique charm of this Azur Lane Bunny girl look.
