For this Genshin Impact Vodyanitsa cosplay shoot, I put a lot of thought into the costume preparation beforehand. The layers of this outfit are relatively rich, with a white main body paired with cyan-blue decorations. The metallic-textured pendant on the chest needed repeated position adjustments to present the most natural drape. The bangs of the wig were purposely trimmed, with white flower hair accessories clipped on both sides, and the blue gradient hair ends looked very soft under the light. To fit the character, I chose some relatively gentle actions to express the character's temperament. The shooting venue was decorated with a large number of purple-blue flowers, matched with a white vintage iron art chair and a carved background, creating a quiet garden atmosphere. Because the colors of the scene were already very rich, during composition, I tried to let the layers of the skirt hem and tulle spread out naturally to avoid making the frame look overly crowded. When appearing on camera barefoot, the bead strings and flower decorations on the ankles also had to cooperate with the posture, as if they were naturally growing there. In action design, I didn't make too many exaggerated poses, relying more on tinkering with the hair strands by my ear, crossing my hands in front of my chest, or leaning against the back of the chair while slightly tilting my head to show that calm and gentle feeling. Eye focus is also very important; one shouldn't look detached just because of the rich scenery arranged around, but always maintain a soft sense of gaze. Actually, shooting in such a brightly lit and flower-cluttered environment easily makes the subject swallowed by the background, so the fill-light angle was appropriately adjusted to ensure that the character's facial features and clothing material texture could be clearly presented. The composure everyone shows in front of the lens is backed by confirmation of details time and time again. During shooting breaks, I also communicated a lot with the photographer about color and composition ideas, hoping to record this uniquely styled attire in the most comfortable visual state. This brief shooting experience was very interesting, and it also gave me a deeper understanding of 2D style modeling expression.
