[Sparkle cosplay] Red, Black, and White Convention Photos from the Honkai: Star Rail Exhibition - Image 2

The costume and wig for this Sparkle cosplay are finally complete, and I took some convention photos during the breaks at the exhibition. This red, black, and white color-blocked outfit looks highly expressive in front of the lens. Although the oversized sleeve design is gorgeous, wearing it really tests my arm placement techniques; it's easy to accidentally fling the sleeves out like a bundle. To coordinate with the overall flowing look, I added invisible supports inside the cuffs to make the large sleeves drape more smoothly and naturally. The rabbit ear wig ornaments and black bows on my head are detailed highlights that required repeated adjustments to blend naturally with the wig. The bangs were trimmed relatively thin to ensure a clear field of vision even in the crowded exhibition environment. The white bunny plush and black-and-red checkered elements matched at the waist offer a visually rich sense of layering, echoing perfectly with the overall red, black, and white costume. The plush's hat and bowtie were also finely adjusted so it wouldn't easily fall off while walking around. To balance the weight of the oversized sleeves, these black Martin boots feature a thick-soled platform design, making my center of gravity more stable during standing poses and dynamic motion capture. The laces were tied quite tightly, so they won't loosen even when jumping. The lighting conditions of the venue this time were exceptional. The photographer utilized the on-site lighting equipment to snap several highly dynamic frames. The floor lighting in the exhibition hall was very translucent, and the reflections significantly enhanced the costume's texture and depth of layering. Whether crouching down to lower my center of gravity or raising one leg, the overall flexibility of the outfit is quite good, without any noticeable restrictions in movement. Many friends asked me about the modification directions for this costume. In fact, I made some adjustments to the collar details and the positions of the buttons, resolving the issue where raw edges tend to flip up, making it more suitable for walking around at a casual anime convention. The wig also underwent several version adjustments before successfully keeping its original silhouette without blocking my line of sight. I hope to present a more complete and three-dimensional character image, allowing the inherent agility of this outfit to express itself through the lens. Regarding makeup, I layered pinkish eyeshadows to emphasize the depth of my gaze, paired with red lip gloss. This way, in front of the lens and complemented by the silver-white wig, my overall complexion looks much brighter and more energetic. Because the crowds at the exhibition venue were quite dense, capturing a convention photo required finding appropriate angles to avoid cluttered backgrounds. Fortunately, the photographer chose excellent composition angles, perfectly utilizing the on-site lighting and floor reflections to capture the outfit's color-blocked feel in a very clean manner. Coupled with the large range of movements themselves, moments like swinging the sleeves or raising a leg allowed the clothing's lines to appear much more fluid. The fact that over half of the convention photos from this session are usable proves that the design of this costume is indeed excellent, without stiffening at all during movement.
