The core expression of this photoshoot centers on the imagery of scorched earth and new blooms. Echoing the sentiment of 'a firefly leaping into flame, living towards death,' I chose to seek that contrasting sense of solitude through urban Night photography. Sincere gratitude to photographer @抚一缕梦📸 for the conceptual direction; delivering finished edits at lightning speed within a single day was an incredible surprise.
The greatest hurdle during shooting was controlling lighting contrast in Night photography. With modern urban glass facades and alternating blue-green neon glow in the background, this cool-toned ambiance harmonized impeccably with the character's sheer tulle skirt and gradient hair in 2D styling. We scouted multiple angles on the walkway bridge to avoid messy reflections—such as the seated pose in Photo 4, using crossed legs in thigh-high Stockings to elongate visual proportions against blurred background bokeh, beautifully evoking the character's cool elegance and fragile allure.
The outfit details were exceptionally rich, featuring the yellow floral accessory on the back and the long-handled scythe prop in hand. To avoid obscuring the face, composition space was deliberately left open. We also experimented with subtle stances and profile angles to highlight the crisp structure of the fabric. As a formal photoshoot attempt, I am very pleased with the final visual presentation. Deep thanks to the photographer for adding particle light and ground smoke effects in post-production, infusing the urban Night photography with a dreamy fantasy atmosphere.
Throughout the shoot, I also gained practical experience—such as using props to block stray glare and adjusting posture to prevent the skirt from covering the thighs. The resulting photo set faithfully brings my interpretation of this Honkai: Star Rail character to life.
