The main task of this photoshoot was to complete the finished Satsuki cosplay photos from Reverse: 1999. The character's temperament is inherently gentle, so I chose a pink and white palette as the main color scheme during brainstorming, hoping to get closer to this character through airy fabrics and sweet elements.

First, let's talk about the outfit detail coordination. The light pink beret style on top was modified with matching floral decorations and dangling ribbons; this small accent adds a sense of flow in motion. The upper body features a white lapel collar paired with a deep purple thin ribbon, creating a light-and-dark contrast that makes the neck line look clean and sharp. The tube-top-style jacket design combined with long white gloves optimizes the visual effect of arms while fitting the character's relatively dignified yet playful aura in this Cosplay outfit.

The layering of the skirt was one of the key focuses of this look. I selected a multi-layered, spliced pink-and-white gradient skirt hem; when sitting down, the skirt spreads out like a flower, creating a wonderful effect draped over the white bench. To balance the pink-and-tender palette across the body, I chose deep red-brown Mary Jane shoes, which serve as a solid anchor point so the overall styling doesn't feel overly floaty.

The most special part of this shoot was the interaction with the little bird. Before shooting, we made thorough preparations to ensure we wouldn't startle the little creature. Holding it gently in the palm of my hand or resting it on my index finger, I could feel its faint body warmth. To match this natural interaction, I lowered my gaze as much as possible, meeting it with soft eyes to freeze this frame full of vitality. Though the bird occasionally fluttered its wings restlessly, it was precisely in those uncertain moments that finished photos often captured an unexpectedly vivid charm.

Much thought was also put into makeup, deliberately shunning heavy looks in favor of a very light base makeup. Since the cosplayed character features delicate facial traits, the eye makeup focused on brightening catchlights, paired with natural deep-brown cosmetic lenses to make the eyes look more translucent. For hair, straight bangs and short hair were kept so it wouldn't block facial features while preserving the gentle charm of the original design.

For set design, large areas of pink-and-white backdrops and blue-and-white artificial flower bouquets were used, combined with a white iron bench and a soft plush backdrop carpet, making the spatial lighting very soft and bright. Although it looked aesthetically pleasing, there were small challenges during shooting. For instance, when bowing my head while holding the bird, light angles easily created shadows on my face or neck, causing facial features to lose three-dimensionality. On set, the photographer worked closely with lighting adjustments, fine-tuning angles of softboxes and reflectors to resolve this issue.

For posing, I attempted full-body shots sitting on the bench and close-ups sitting cross-legged on the carpet. When sitting on the chair, deliberately adjusting ankle angles and leg lines paired with red-brown shoes presented the most elegant visual; while sitting cross-legged felt more relaxed, allowing skirt folds to look extremely natural. Regardless of adjustments, keeping breathing steady and shoulders relaxed allowed overall posture to appear calm and poised.

Overall, this photoshoot experience was extremely comfortable; the costume offered high versatility, and on-site color tones were very photogenic. Sensing the character's personality through interaction and exploring the character's inner world through outward Cosplay outfit choices is precisely why I have always loved cosplay and photography. Thanks to the team's seamless cooperation, I was able to turn these dreamy scenes into real records.
