This time, I attempted to recreate Kashino from Azur Lane (Kashino cosplay), faithfully restoring every element from the overall garment design to the accessories. The bovine horn headpiece paired with a white fabric headband and red-highlighted bangs perfectly formed the character's most recognizable head features. Wearing this modified black, white, and red tri-color ensemble, the wide flowing sleeves and off-the-shoulder cut demonstrated wonderful depth under natural outdoor light, while the black high collar and red piping around the neckline looked crisp and neat. The wooden plaque pendant around the neck along with the paper clipboard and pen in hand cultivated the ambiance of her role as a record keeper or secretary ship; posing as if reviewing documents or pondering questions fit the character setting seamlessly.
For the shoot, an outdoor fabric sofa was selected as the setting. The lush green foliage in the background was softly blurred with a wide aperture, creating a soothing color palette and natural light that paired beautifully with the character's reddish-brown hair and costume colors, evoking a bright yet gentle atmosphere for this Outdoor photography session. In terms of posing, sitting with legs crossed allowed my body to relax naturally; combined with the props in hand, this casual record-keeping mood resonated with the character's temperament in the game. For the lower body, a Black tights outfit with thigh-band accents was chosen to visually contour the leg lines. Under natural light, the black fabric displayed a soft matte texture, forming a clearly defined color interplay with the exposed thigh and the black-and-white outfit.
Thoughtful consideration also went into selecting footwear to complement the overall Cosplay outfit: black flat sandals adorned with red bows that avoided stealing the spotlight while adding a vivid splash of color at the feet, ensuring color harmony from head to toe. Shooting this costume outdoors genuinely tested my patience; although the off-the-shoulder top and short skirt looked refreshing, changing outdoor lighting and temperature required constant adjustment, but fortunately, the final photos turned out exceptionally well.
For makeup, an elegant base and clean eye makeup highlighted the naturally gentle facial features, while blue contact lenses added a touch of mystery and depth unique to the character. Additionally, the dark printed fabric on the outer skirt and the fur-textured tail ornaments draping from the cuffs perfected the completeness of this Cosplay outfit in every detail. Holding the pen required relaxed hand tension rather than rigidity to look natural and poised in front of the lens. Throughout this process, I gained a deeper appreciation for the character's personality and habits; showcasing a distinct facet of a character through the harmony of costumes, props, and scenery is truly fascinating.
Overall, this was a thoroughly enjoyable creative process. The outdoor setting gave the character fresh expressive vitality, infusing the usually capable record keeper image with a touch of everyday languor and ease, allowing me to immerse myself even deeper into the character. Presenting a game character through such a tranquil Outdoor photography style not only expresses love for the role but also serves as practical experience in mastering my Kashino cosplay styling. Looking at the finalized photos, every styling detail and accessory choice contributed to an impeccably fitting visual presentation.
