This formal gown, centered around a blue-and-white tulle skirt, paired with long deep blue hair and a pearl headpiece while holding a silver microphone, perfectly captured that 'debuting ahead of time' idol stage feel. Extensive preparation went into achieving this effect. The blue wig, while flowing and airy, was very slippery, requiring sectioning the day before and repeatedly setting the bangs with hairspray to securely hold the feather and pearl hair accessories, or even a slight nod would tilt them out of place. I also selected deep blue contact lenses paired with pinkish eyeshadow and blush, aiming to make the makeup look as crystal-clear and translucent as a 2D character.

During the shoot, the set was decorated with blue sheer drapes as the backdrop, and the photographer used cool-toned lighting to match. The white tulle skirt was quite puffy, complemented by sheer black tulle on the arms and golden chains, creating rich layers of fabric; however, this meant being extremely mindful of the skirt hem on set. Specifically, the semi-sheer white tulle easily showed the lining underneath, and without the right angle, the outfit could look cluttered, demanding strict posture control. The white-to-blue gradient gloves felt great, but maintaining the microphone-holding pose for prolonged periods was tricky—keeping a steady grip on the mic without stiffening my arm and obstructing the light and shadow on the gown took testing numerous angles to find the optimal position.

Regarding makeup, I intentionally subdued the lip color so red lips wouldn't hijack the visual focus of the overall Blue theme, directing all emphasis into the gaze. During the shoot, maintaining a focused expression with a hint of Astesia's distinctive tranquility and pride was key. Beyond facial expressions, three-quarter body posture and flat shoulder alignment required deliberate control. Having practiced body movements with Stage presence many times before, the shoot went relatively smoothly. We shot for about two hours; between the heavy outfit and the sweltering wig, physical stamina was heavily taxed, yet seeing that pop of blue on screen and the glint of light across the pearl bracelet made every effort worthwhile.

Costume, makeup, props, and post-production retouching are all crucial; this photo set retained exceptional translucency, with the frame leaning into cool tones to evoke a serene, noble atmosphere. While fine details required meticulous attention, the yield rate of great shots was deeply satisfying. Trying out this slightly different stage style in this Arknights Astesia cosplay was not only a fresh interpretation of the character's spirit, but also a completely new photoshoot experience.
