[Marisa Kirisame cosplay] The cherry blossom patrolling Magician in Touhou Project - Image 1

Shooting this spring Cherry blossom outdoor scene for Marisa Kirisame, I specifically chose full-bloom cherry blossom trees as the main setting. Blonde hair paired with a classic black witch hat and black-and-white maid outfit, plus the iconic purple bowtie, makes the overall look fresh and recognizable. When shooting while sitting on a thick branch, I needed to support my body with one hand on the trunk to maintain balance, while naturally resting the other hand near my cheek, and placing the broomstick horizontally on the branch, to create a leisurely feeling as if patrolling my territory. The spring light was very soft, casting dappled shadows through the dense petals onto the white ruffled skirt, perfectly setting off the Magician's daily life feel. To stabilize the wig and hat, I carefully reinforced the hair clips and brim before shooting to avoid shifting when looking up or turning. I had to adapt to the length and center of gravity of the broomstick prop in advance; when holding it, I had to control the force point to prevent the broom head from hitting the flower branches. During the shoot, I collaborated with the photographer to snap a few moments when the breeze blew through the hair, giving the static image a bit of agility. The texture details of the black vest's gold buttons and the white apron were naturally presented in the soft light, and the overall color tone remained coordinated with the pink and white cherry blossom background. Through this outdoor shoot, I successfully rediscovered Marisa's casual yet slightly proud character personality. The final photos have a healing spring vibe, making it a very comfortable shooting experience.
