[Shimoe Koharu cosplay] Blue Archive Fantasy Garden, the clash of black wings and pink halo

This Blue Archive Shimoe Koharu cosplay photoshoot is finally meeting everyone, and a lot of thought went into the whole set from preparation to shooting. The most eye-catching part of the styling is this pink gradient wig. To keep its natural curl, I used a curling iron layer by layer, and fixed that pair of black wing hair accessories on top of the head, matching the floating pink halo prop, realizing a wonderful fusion of angel and devil elements. The costume selected a white off-the-shoulder dress designed with plenty of lace and ruffles, a black choker at the neck dotted with a small white flower, and deep blue roses at the waist echoing with the small black wings on the back. The legs are matched with pure white stockings; this material has a relatively obvious reflection under the camera, so strict precision in light and shadow control during shooting was necessary.

The scene setup can be said to be the highlight of this shoot. To fit the overall dreamy tone, we built an indoor set full of blooming flowers and classical elements. Floors covered with white lilies, white roses, and daisies, paired with white dead branches, European Roman columns, and vintage photo frames, creating a quiet garden atmosphere. The lighting of the shooting environment mainly relied on softboxes to cast large-area top light and side-backlight, supplemented by warm yellow LED lights inside prop lanterns and candelabras as accents. The advantage of this processing is allowing light to penetrate the layers of ruffles on the white gauze dress while blending the texture of the white stockings and skin tone more naturally and translucently. The photographer also specially arranged an engraved vintage mirror as the foreground, using mirror reflection for composition; this combination of reality and illusion greatly enhanced the spatial sense and storytelling of the frame.

In action design, we tried various postures such as sitting on the ground, leaning, kneeling, and sitting on a metal ring swing. To avoid stiff postures, I would use the ribbons, choker, or rose props in my hand as interactive focal points, with my gaze sometimes looking at the camera and sometimes looking at myself in the mirror. Because it's Shimoe Koharu's cosplay, I deliberately adjusted my state in expression management, presenting a slightly shy yet slightly stubborn demeanor. Paired with this off-the-shoulder and short skirt design, it not only retained the character's traits but also naturally displayed the visual attraction of the white stockings and leg lines.

The atmosphere of the entire shooting process was very relaxed and pleasant, filled with various props and flowers on site. During transitions, everyone took good care of this complicated costume and wig. This photoshoot is a sincere visual presentation of the character Shimoe Koharu and a new attempt of mine in the anime-style photography style.
