Putting on this blue-and-white Gym uniform cosplay with a volleyball at my side and baskets of basketballs all around instantly filled the air with the atmosphere of a sports equipment room. This set of gym-uniform-themed photos was actually shot in a sunlit indoor venue. The goal was to recreate that refreshing athletic feeling right after finishing a warm-up, touched with a hint of sweat.

For this look, restoring garment details was the key focus. The loose white short-sleeved athletic tee features blue piping along the collar and cuffs, paired with dark blue athletic shorts whose two side white stripes keep the overall aesthetic clean and sharp. The black track jacket plays a great role in layering—it can be worn alone or casually draped over shoulders or tied around the waist as shown in the pictures. Paired with white over-the-knee stockings, it visually elongates body proportions, perfectly matching the dynamic and lightweight feel of a gym uniform.

Head accessories played a finishing touch in this shoot. The light blue cross hair clip fits snugly against the side of the hair, complementing the sleek glossy silver straight hair. The light blue halo and grey cat ears atop the head are signature character elements; in the white sports space, these cool-toned blue props added mystery and 2D ambiance. The makeup was kept clear and translucent, using blue-grey contact lenses to enhance the gaze paired with soft pink lips, giving an overall energetic look of having just exercised rather than heavy stage makeup.

The scene for this set of photos is very endearing—the metal ball carts in the background filled with colorful basketballs and volleyballs, white sports benches, simple high jump stands, and even the sports drink bottle with blue packaging filled the entire frame with the daily warmth of campus P.E. class. The equipment room background was originally somewhat cluttered, but the photographer utilized natural window light and indoor fill lights to smoothly transition light and shadow, popping the subject out from the background. The high-key lighting made skin texture look remarkably translucent, achieving the exact bright, clean visual effect I wanted.

The shooting process felt like attending a real P.E. class. As seen in the photos, I tried several different scene interactions: starting on a mat making cat-paw gestures for a lively and playful look; followed by sitting upright on the floor with both hands resting on a volleyball for a focused aura; sitting on a bench holding the ball close for a moment of post-exercise tranquility; and leaning against the equipment locker with arms akimbo or holding a drink for a casual, confident relaxation. The most fun part of shooting gym uniform themes is using real sports props to bring motion into the scene—without forcing poses, simply recalling moments of resting in a gymnasium naturally yields organic postures.

As a Cosplay photography shoot combining indoor and outdoor elements, I wanted to focus on authenticity rather than exaggerated poses, hoping to present a youthful P.E. class atmosphere encountered in real life. In this bright space, volleyballs, basketballs, water bottles, Anime white stockings, and gym uniforms blend together to build that signature color palette of Blue Archive. Freezing these daily moments of a 2D sports girl in a quiet setting was a delightful experience in itself.
