[Shimoe Koharu cosplay] Pure White Dreamy Flower Sea Interpretation in Blue Archive

This photoshoot features Shimoe Koharu from Blue Archive. From initial concept selection to the final shoot, we dedicated significant thought to constructing the scene's ambiance. The original vision was to craft a pure white space surrounded by blooming flowers and filled with soft, gentle lighting; looking at the final photos now, it faithfully realizes what we envisioned.

Talking about the specific styling details, the pink-and-white gradient wig with blue highlights took plenty of effort. To secure the pink cut-out hair accessory on top and the pair of blue-purple zigzag hairpieces on the sides firmly in their correct positions, I used numerous bobby pins and hot glue to calibrate the angles, ultimately achieving wonderful layering within the frame. For the outfit, I chose a white dress featuring delicate puff sleeves and pleated details, accented with ribbon bows above the knees, creating an overall lightweight and clean aesthetic.

One of the main visual highlights is undeniably the White thigh-highs outfit paired with white high heels. I specifically selected a pair of chunky-heeled white patent leather pumps with subtle elevation to wear over white stockings. When selecting the white stockings, I carefully considered opacity—ensuring skin wouldn't overly show through while allowing light falling on the legs to produce an even, luminous sheen. In this soft-light studio environment, the white heels paired with white stockings elongated the leg lines beautifully, and the glossy patent finish added a striking textural accent, which turned out to be one of my favorite details.

The set arrangement was repeatedly adjusted and refined between the photographer and me. The white wrought-iron bench in the center served as the primary visual anchor, while the small round table on the right featured an intricate white lace tablecloth and flower baskets. Two light-colored plush dolls placed in the foreground added visual depth and cuteness. The floral palette primarily featured beige, light blue, and soft pink faux bouquets arranged in striped off-white flowerpots of varying heights. For lighting, photographer @Kurumi used very gentle illumination, combining side-backlighting with diffuse bounces alongside diffusion filters or mist effects to eliminate harsh shadows, enveloping the scene in a dreamy, hazy glow. Even the white tulle skirt draped naturally along the light path, creating graceful visual guidance in this Dreamy photoshoot.

For makeup, I went with a soft and sweet approach, focusing on clean eye makeup with soft pink dusted across the outer corners and cheeks, paired with a gentle muted peach-orange lip shade. In harmony with the pink-and-white wig, this sought to express the character's pure, innocent demeanor. When holding the white rose, subtle wrist adjustments were made to look effortless without disrupting the dress silhouette. Throughout the session, we communicated constantly regarding sitting angles and leg extensions. The cover shot captures that relaxed sitting posture showcasing both shoes and leg lines, where the subject's center of gravity remains poised and nestled naturally within the surrounding white blossoms for a captivating Atmospheric portrait.

The final photos maintained consistency in light and color grading, removing complex chromatic distractions to give the entire frame a creamy, smooth texture. Although arranging the flower sea and organizing the dress train was tiring, with petals and small leaves sticking to the fabric, seeing the final outcome radiant with gentle lightness made every bit worthwhile.
