The theme of the lush green canopy is actually very suited for showcasing a tranquil atmosphere. This costume is an extended design based on swimwear; the large area of black sheer fabric material exhibits varying degrees of transparency under light and shadow. When walking or striking poses, the light gauze of the skirt hem flutters in the wind, paired with the butterfly prints above, adding a sense of liveliness. The metallic hair accessories and round-frame glasses serve as an iconic embellishment; a lot of effort went into the hairstyle to secure them properly. That blue braided hair also underwent repeated adjustments to achieve a satisfactory effect. The blue paper umbrella in hand is not only a prop, but also provides excellent shading under the sunlight. The patterns on the umbrella surface echo the overall styling remarkably well.

The shooting location was chosen within a dense bamboo grove and a classical garden. The full view of vibrant green and the black costume formed a strong color contrast. Natural light filtered down through the dense bamboo leaves, creating mottled light and shadow—a feeling that is difficult to simulate in a studio shoot. While shooting on that rock in the stream, to stand steadily and maintain an elegant posture was actually quite taxing on the feet. Stepping barefoot on the stone required controlling foot center of gravity and muscle tension to capture that seemingly effortless yet actually strained feel. For the shot sitting on the stone bridge, the focus was on expressing a casual and relaxed state, with the black sheer fabric draping down the railing, combined with the bright highlights brought by natural light, giving the overall frame a strong sense of layering.

In grasping the actions and expressions, I tried my best not to shoot it as a pure swimsuit photo, but rather retained the character's intrinsic personality color. Director Kisaki's solitary time should be tranquil, carrying a hint of arrogance and calmness. Therefore, gaze guidance is very important; without too many exaggerated expressions, a slight turn of the face or a look-back, coordinated with the obstruction of the paper umbrella, can convey that undisturbed, aloof feel. Like the shot in the stream, with the gaze looking toward the lens, paired with the twist of the body and wrapped in the black sheer fabric, it actually carried an extra layer of mystery compared to directly wearing a swimsuit. Regarding makeup, due to the character's setting, the base makeup required extreme cleanliness and translucency; the eye makeup didn't need to be too heavy, just emphasizing the sharpness of the eye shape, with eyelashes styled distinctly strand by strand. The lips used a relatively natural bean-paste color to maintain the overall aloof feel. Highlighter was applied to the collarbones and shoulders, which, combined with natural light, gave the skin more texture. By the stream, the reflected light from the water surface actually served as fill light, making the shadow details look even better.

To match this black outfit, I put a lot of work into posing and arranging the black sheer fabric—such as how to make it flutter and how to make it drape naturally without appearing bulky. The presentation of every single photo, from costume arrangement to waiting for the right light and shadow, required patience. Being able to capture this tranquil yet slightly alluring ambiance in a completely natural environment this time was truly an immensely satisfying experience. Although there was no complex lighting equipment, the sunlight and natural scenery were the best filters.
