[Yin Ziping cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Chalcedony ice core Qipao: A White-Veiled Heroine in a Suzhou-Style Garden

This shoot features a Yin Ziping cosplay from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT wearing the Chalcedony ice core skin, with the overall outfit being an altered Traditional Chinese style Qipao in white. In fact, many details of this look lie in the accessories; the black-and-white color palette combined with silver water-ripple embroidery fits wonderfully into the Suzhou-style garden environment of white walls and black tiles.

Regarding the outfit, the texture of this set is actually quite difficult to control. The neckline adopts an altered Qipao standing collar design paired with a small black bow tie, while the ruffles on the shoulders are very voluminous, using slightly stiffer fabric to maintain this shape. The cuffs also feature ruffles and white lace straps, preserving traditional Chinese elegance while adding the gorgeous flair of anime character styling. The lower half consists of a white short skirt paired with classic white over-the-knee socks and white platform chunky-heeled high heels—this all-white color scheme carries quite a strong visual impact.

The hair was a part of the styling that took considerable effort—straight long black hair combined with hair buns on both sides, decorated with white flowers and tassel hairpins. This hairstyle truly tests wig combing; to make it look natural and layered, a lot of prep and styling set-up was done before the shoot. As for props, a long white weapon prop wrapped in white fabric was prepared, featuring long white ribbons extending from the hilt. This prop was essential for hand detail presentation, as much of the look's ethereal feel relies on these ribbons swaying with the wind.

The shoot location was chosen in a garden with typical Chinese elements. Rockeries, bamboo groves, moon gates, and white walls with black tiles served as great backdrops. Because Yin Ziping herself carries a healing and benevolent aura, I preferred poses that weren't overly dainty, opting instead for calm, heroic, and crisp gestures. Particularly in Picture 4's standing pose leaning against a dark red wooden pillar—with one leg slightly bent while holding the prop—it beautifully showcases character body proportions and the overall visual focus of the styling.

During shooting, to match the perspective of the skirt and long legs, the photographer lowered the camera position and utilized natural diffuse light. Bright ambient lighting combined with white garments and stockings presented a very cool, serene, and pure atmospheric feel in Cosplay photography. However, moving around the garden in these white platform high heels proved somewhat challenging, especially when stepping up stone stairs and low walls, requiring careful balance management.

For post-processing, no overly exaggerated color grading was applied; we mainly brightened the white parts to guarantee the texture of the white stockings and heels while retaining the lush green of background bamboo leaves and trees. To match the Chalcedony ice core skin setting, we avoided overly warm yellow lighting and intentionally maintained a cool white visual tone. Overall, a lot of thought went into costume recreation, prop crafting, and scene matching, spending considerable time adjusting prop handling and wig styling—the final visual result successfully met all expected goals in both cold serenity and refined detail.
