Today, I finally finished editing the "Swan Fantasy" photo set. It took quite a long time from material selection to image production, and when I first got my hands on it, I felt it had a very substantial weight. The skirt hem is a bell-shaped structure stacked with multiple layers of light blue sheer tulle, and the outer white satin features extremely intricate silver vine embroidery sewn with blue gemstones. To support this skirt hem, I wore a relatively stiff petticoat underneath, and walking required extreme care for fear of bumping into the neighboring candelabras and Roman columns.

The wig took a long time to trim; to match the in-game styling, the bangs were given a specific curve. The two huge white feather hair accessories on top of the head are rather heavy, requiring shaping wires inside to make them stand upright. The spherical ornament with a silver mesh cover on the left side was made by myself using a foam ball sprayed with paint and then sticking metallic mesh gauze onto it piece by piece, trying our best to restore the details. In terms of makeup, to highlight that aloof and desolate atmosphere, red and pink were used for eye makeup smudged on the lower eyelids, paired with light blue-purple contact lenses to add a touch of non-human, fantasy feel. The black sequin choker is also a finishing touch, preventing the overall pure white tone from looking too monotonous.

The lighting and shadow design for this studio portrait was very challenging. The photographer used spotlights to cast strong light, leaving a clear silhouette on the background wall. This lighting with extreme contrast between light and dark truly tests the coser's expressiveness in front of the lens, because if you're not careful, heavy shadows will appear on the face. When shooting the looking-back shot, I kept adjusting the angle of my shoulders and neck; to make the back lines look more relaxed, my muscles were actually tense the entire time. The black and white feather folding fan in my hand, when unfolded, formed a contrast with the light tones of the clothing.

The most physically demanding part was the third styling, where the white feather wings cosplay on the back were extremely heavy. To capture the tension of the wings spreading, I crossed my hands in front of my chest, slightly bent my wrists, and pointed my fingertips upward, holding that position in place for a long time. Because I was wearing patterned light-colored pantyhose (Stockings cosplay) and lace-up flat shoes, I needed to maintain a stable center of gravity while standing on the floor covered with white cloth. Throughout the process, the photographer and logistics friends helped a lot, helping me support the wings and tidy up the folds of the skirt.

When interpreting Xiao Qiao's Swan Fantasy styling, I didn't make too many expressions on my face; the focus was placed entirely on the dreamy, hazy gaze and hand movements. The hand gestures tried to mimic the curve of a swan's neck, keeping it soft yet powerful. Although wearing this outfit was exhausting, seeing the serene and sacred feeling presented in the finished photos, matched with the cool-toned lighting and classical props, truly conveyed the sense of shattered fragility and nobility that Swan Fantasy should have. The overall visual is both gorgeous and carries a trace of suppressed beauty, which is a style I've always wanted to try.
