After getting my hands on this Alice Cosplay outfit, my first reaction was that the texture was much better than expected. Overall, it is made of pure white satin material, which presents a very natural pearlescent sheen under Studio portrait lighting without looking rigid. The chest and waist sides are adorned with three-dimensional roses and bows, and the skirt hem features layers of lace, creating a distinct layered feel when walking or spinning. The inner wear selected is white knee-high socks with lace trims, paired with a pair of pure white pointed-toe high heels, unifying the overall color tone between white and light pink for a visually extremely clean look.
The wig is long pink curly hair with long sideburns at the temples and a slight wave at the tips. The headband features a pair of white plush bunny ears, with a small bunny hair accessory clipped beside it, and the neckwear is a white lace choker with a pink heart gemstone. Translucent white knitted fingerless sleeves are worn on the arms, making the arm lines appear softer and less monotonous when posing. To enhance the fairytale feel, I specially prepared a huge plush carrot pillow; the orange and green stand out remarkably against the white background, also serving as a great interactive prop during shooting.
During the shoot, I mainly switched between sitting and standing poses. When sitting, I leaned the carrot pillow obliquely against my legs and extended my legs to one side, which elongates the leg proportions while allowing the details of the high heels and White stockings to be fully displayed. When standing, I tried pinching the skirt hem and spreading it to both sides, letting the skirt's lace and folds scatter naturally, which, combined with a slightly low-angle upward shot, makes the whole figure look lighter. Several other single-leg standing poses were mainly intended to convey that lively and playful feel, pinching the tips of the hair with both hands or grabbing both ends of the bunny ears and pulling them upward—spontaneous interactive ideas that popped up on site. Because the skirt is relatively short and the satin material is prone to reflections, the photographer used softboxes during lighting to minimize overexposure in highlight areas and preserve the fabric's texture.
The pairing of White stockings and white high heels actually tests light and shadow quite a bit in a Studio portrait session, because an all-white color scheme easily blends together. Therefore, we deliberately left a little shadow distance between the legs and the background so the leg lines could separate clearly. Although the carrot pillow is a prop, it adds a bit of playfulness to the frame, and when sitting on the ground or leaning against it, the postures feel much more natural without appearing stiff.
I'm quite satisfied with the completion level of this styling; from wig styling to clothing details, it basically turned out according to the original vision. The entire shooting process wasn't too long, but adjusting poses and lighting took quite a bit of time, making it totally worthwhile to get good photos in the end. This photo set didn't use overly complex post-processing, mainly touching up skin tone and background purity while retaining the original color texture, and I hope everyone enjoys this clean and cute style.
