[Xiao Qiao Cosplay] Honor of Kings Lilac Knot: Gentleness Beneath Wisteria Blossoms

The inspiration for this photoshoot derived entirely from the Lilac Knot aesthetic; encountering a venue staged with lilac floral installations beneath a luminous glass dome sealed the creative concept instantly. The wardrobe featured a modified Ancient style cosplay gown in purple and white: the purple bandeau bodice was accented with golden filigree embroidery and delicate fringe tassels, complemented by wide, semi-sheer tulle bell sleeves and a flowing white layered skirt. To stay faithful to her silhouette, I styled black twin pigtails adorned with violet floral clips. The folding fan served as the pivotal prop—I specifically sourced a wooden-ribbed fan inscribed with calligraphy and lilac blossom motifs, adding an air of scholarly poetic grace.

Natural lighting presented quite a challenge on set. Enclosed by floor-to-ceiling glass curtain walls, the midday sun was exceptionally harsh, risking the blowout of fine garment embroidery and lace textures. Consequently, we shifted primary shooting until after 3:00 PM to harness the soft, diffuse ambient light bounced through the architecture. The high-gloss marble flooring created intense reflections, which I utilized during seated poses to craft mirror reflection compositions, expanding spatial depth.

Regarding posing choreography, Xiao Qiao inherently radiates weightless agility, so I steered clear of exaggerated gestures in favor of subtle knee bends, over-the-shoulder glances, and the dynamic opening of the fan to direct compositional lines. In the seated stone bench shot, I crossed my legs to accentuate the contours of my Beautiful legs through the high skirt slit, holding the unfurled fan behind as a scenic framing element. To coordinate with falling petal effects, we rehearsed the timing of hand-tossed petals repeatedly, freezing the most organic suspended flutter mid-air. Footwear featured purple platform Mary Jane shoes, preserving her youthful innocence while elongating the leg lines cleanly.

The finished collection lets the purple-and-white ensemble shine with crystalline translucency inside the cool glass pavilion, where petal flutter and sheer chiffon rendered with delicate lightness. Shunning exaggerated post-processing filters, we preserved the soft, natural ambient chiaroscuro, resulting in a deeply satisfying set.
