The timeline from deciding on the shoot to booking the photographer was tight; to capture photos inside the store on the collaboration's launch day, I did extensive preparation in advance. The key feature of this outfit is the blue-and-white Maid outfit, combining a white puff-sleeved blouse with a navy ruffled apron. The fabric is relatively structured, propping up the flared silhouette of the skirt nicely. The blue stripes along the skirt hem and the heart-shaped pockets are essential design elements requiring meticulous ironing to stay crisp. The pink badge pinned to the apron, along with the serving tray and golden handbell props, are vital for high-fidelity recreation. For headwear, I used light-blue and pink-and-white animal ears, which were tricky to secure—especially the plush pompoms, which required bobby pins to keep perfectly upright on camera. The hairstyle is long, silver-white curly hair, which required curling beforehand, and styling the pink hair clips on both sides took considerable time. In makeup, I chose pinkish contacts paired with pink blush to give the face an approachable, gentle softness. We scheduled the shoot on a weekday during low foot traffic; the cafe's cool white interior lighting was ideal for direct fill light, and combined with a wide-aperture lens, created excellent subject-background separation. The photographer instructed me to maintain a gentle bend at the elbows when holding the tray and bell so my posture wouldn't appear rigid. Although passersby watched, the atmosphere stayed relaxed, making pose adjustments smooth. The harmony between the White over-the-knee socks and the flared skirt captured the character's playful charm perfectly. The entire session took about three hours. Sorting through the photos afterward, full-body shots under consistent lighting turned out best—a hand-on-hip stance showcased a lively personality, while holding the tray matched the cafe server theme of the collaboration store. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we kept post-retouching minimal to preserve authentic textures.
