[Columbina Cosplay] Genshin Impact: Sheer Ribbons and White Feathers in a Serene Dreamscape

When shooting this Genshin Impact character Columbina, the first thing decided was the dreamy blue-and-white color palette. The costume features extensive layers of sheer gauze, with white feathers on the head and red gradient tips on the twin tails creating fantastic visual focal points against a clean white backdrop. To convey this serene dreamscape during the shoot, the studio used high-key soft lighting, eliminating heavy shadows to highlight the airy, lightweight texture of the white gauze and feathers.

To align with the character design, fine glitter was sprinkled through the hair, creating a sparkling effect under the lights. In terms of costume fabrics, the blue parts are relatively structured to form clean arcs, while the outer sheer gauze provides a graceful drape. The Sheer ribbon straps on the legs were the highlight of this look, crisscrossing around the ankles and calves; putting them on took considerable time to ensure they looked smooth and natural on camera without sagging. When posing, I had to keep an eye on the strap alignment at all times—for instance, extending my leg forward in Photo 1 was done specifically to showcase the strap lines and leg contours.

The shooting schedule was fairly tight. For example, while sitting on the white block prop, I tried both open-eyed and closed-eyed expressions to express the character's serenity and gentleness; and finally, when putting on the large feather wings and standing up, their large size required continuous adjustments to my position and angles with the photographer, seamlessly integrating the full wing silhouette into the pure white background to evoke a lightweight sense of weightlessness. The post-processing direction of the entire set also aimed for a clean and translucent look, prioritizing natural facial skin texture and fabric quality without exaggerated warping. Through this Cosplay photoshoot of Columbina, from costume preparation to refining expressions and gestures, my understanding of this Genshin Impact character deepened significantly. Combined with studio lighting, we managed to present imagery that truly resonates with her aura—I hope everyone enjoys the overall atmosphere of this completed White-feathered girl photoshoot.
