[Hoshimi Miyabi cosplay] Trying on the new Zenless Zone Zero outfit: black and gold outfit details with maxed-out accuracy

Putting on this Hoshimi Miyabi outfit, my immediate impression was how tailored the fit felt. The interplay of black, white, and gold delivers rich visual depth. The outer wide sleeves are crafted from sleek fabric with subtle jacquard patterns, while the inner layer features white paneling accented with gold pleated edges. The cutout and crisscross lacing across the chest reveal a hint of skin as I move, breaking up any heaviness and giving the entire silhouette a clean, sharp look. The wide black obi corset at the waist features a substantial gold fan-shaped buckle in the center, and the two long yellow tassels draping below serve as striking visual accents on camera. The black-and-white strappy fingerless gloves on my hands are also thoughtfully crafted, allowing free finger movement.

To match the character's aura, I put considerable effort into hair and makeup. The long, straight black hair with blunt bangs frames the face nicely. The fluffy black Kemonomimi cosplay ears perched on top are the centerpiece of the entire look; to make them stand upright naturally, I added extra internal support beneath the wig cap. The white floral hair accessory on the left carries a delicate pearlescent sheen that harmonizes with the costume's gold trim. For the eye makeup, I layered reddish eye shadows and wore reddish-brown contact lenses, slightly elongating the eyeliner at the outer corners. Paired with rosy lip makeup, my facial features popped with much more dimension on camera.

This time, I experimented with mirror selfies using my phone, spending a good while dialing in the angles. Because the costume boasts so many intricate details—especially the chest cutout and the metallic waist buckle—I had to adjust the phone's height to prevent facial distortion while making sure not to block the outfit's key highlights. I chose a spot with warm-toned tiles and a wooden door frame for the backdrop; as light hit the fabric, the gold accents caught the light with a subtle sheen, making the texture look even more exquisite. While snapping shots with my left hand, I posed my right hand in several variations; angling the wrist slightly inward allowed both the hand wraps and the sleeve patterns to enter the frame, keeping the composition dynamic.

I was initially worried that having so many accessories might look cluttered, but wearing everything together showed how well-coordinated the design truly is. The fluffy animal ears up top and the metallic flower hairpiece don't clash at all; instead, they add a touch of lively energy to the character. This trial gave me an intuitive grasp of how the outfit falls and moves. When it comes time for the full photoshoot, I now know exactly how to tune the lighting and posing to bring out the garment's design philosophy to its fullest.
