[Kyoyama Kazusa cosplay] Blue Archive Street Snapshots: The Good Cat Form in the Teaser

The teaser photos for this Blue Archive Kyoyama Kazusa cosplay are finally ready to be shared! For now, I've selected these two outdoor shots as our first teaser release. Taking this opportunity, I'd like to share my thoughts regarding the styling, location, and on-camera expressions from this shoot.

For costume preparation, I chose a sporty, casual street aesthetic. The oversized black hooded jacket helped convey the character's nonchalant, unrestrained personality. The bottom was paired with a white pleated miniskirt and a Black tights outfit, where the delicate green piping on the skirt hem and the white stripes on the jacket created nice visual layering. For footwear, I specifically picked chunky platform sneakers whose cyan-blue and bright pink color blocking nicely echoed the pink cat-ear headpiece. As for props, the pink-and-black rifle was the centerpiece; though carrying it around during outdoor Street photography was somewhat heavy, it added tremendous tension and edge to the overall silhouette.

We chose a street corner with strong urban aesthetics as our backdrop. The vintage red-and-blue public telephone booth with English lettering on the glass added a nostalgic feel, complemented by a red-and-white warning sign for oncoming traffic nearby. Blended together, these elements created a quiet, everyday sanctuary within a bustling city. The natural lighting was bright and soft, with no heavy filter rendering, maximally preserving the authentic textures of the outfit.

For posing, we experimented with two distinct narrative moods. One was a relatively static, contemplative state—sitting on a red metal bench, resting my cheek on my hand, with a discerning and calculating gaze. The other was a visually impactful low-angle shot, resting my right leg high on the bench while leaning back. This languid yet guarded posture perfectly showcased the details of the Black tights outfit and sneakers. Low-angle framing tests the model's body control, but fortunately, the balance between the loose top and fitted bottom kept the body lines looking clean and unconstrained.

Since this is just a teaser, we will explore more framing angles and emotional nuances in the full Anime cosplay set. Although outdoor Street photography can be tiring, it makes it much easier to capture candid, interesting moments. With the photographer's precise control over lighting and composition, these stills faithfully capture how I envisioned this character existing in real-world street scenes. I look forward to showcasing more scene details and character traits in the upcoming full release.
