Shooting this set of Cissia from Zenless Zone Zero today made me realize that being a Public Security officer is no easy feat. While she looks utterly sweet and petite in-game, slipping into the full ensemble and striking various battle-ready poses inside an actual underground parking garage turned into a grueling test of stamina and patience.
First, let's talk about wearing this coordinate. The pink camisole vest paired with a glossy black pleated leather skirt creates an arresting color clash. However, the leather skirt produces strong specular reflections under studio lights; capturing true tactile texture required constant angle adjustments. Up top, beyond the pink vest, there is a half-draped white jacket featuring black leather straps and plush pom-poms at the cuffs, which softens the rugged edge of the leather while preserving cute, youthful charm. On my legs, I wore sheer Black stockings paired with black strappy thigh rings with metal grommets. With strap-on thigh garters, the biggest worry is them slipping down during movement, so calibrating the tension beforehand was crucial. The chunky platform boots gave great height, but standing in them for hours was undeniably exhausting.
For the makeup, I chose crimson contact lenses to match the character. Red lenses pop intensely in low-light settings; paired with pink-toned eyeshadow, blush, and a blonde twintail wig, they brought out the character's unmistakable 2D aesthetic. The wig tended to frizz under harsh lights, so smoothing out stray flyaways with a flat iron and styling spray prior to shooting saved immense effort in post-production retouching.
Handling props was another major highlight of the shoot. The golden polearm weapon was an instant eye-catcher, carrying substantial heft in hand. To keep the weapon from looking stiff in stills, I swung it deliberately before the lens to capture dynamic motion blur. Beside me sat an oversized white circular halo prop which, juxtaposed with the yellow parking bay lines and pink-purple ambient glow of the garage, cultivated a fascinating sci-fi wasteland aesthetic. Photographer Yuanlian Xiaohan had a fantastic eye for the lens, guiding me through dynamic, tension-filled postures. From the solemn focus of preparing for combat to the relaxed playfulness of lounging on the asphalt, and finally hugging the oversized white prop with demure charm, the shooting flowed seamlessly.
As a set of Convention photos, this outfit represents more than an aesthetic recreation—it was an immersive character study. Bringing 2D designs into real-world environments always involves unforeseen quirks, like stuffy leather fabric and unruly wig maintenance. Yet the moment the finished frames came together, all the fatigue vanished. The true charm of Madam Officer lies in that duality: fierce battlefield swagger paired with everyday sweetness. I hope these images deliver a delightful dose of 2D impact to everyone.
