[Kuromi Serika cosplay] Blue Archive Cat-Eared Senpai: A Leisurely Afternoon Tea Time

This weekend, I wrapped up shooting Kuromi Serika's evening dress look from Blue Archive. It's been quite a while since I last did an indoor studio shoot, and the overall completeness turned out very high. Before the shoot, I invested a lot of effort into prop preparations—especially securing the pink halo and cat-ear headpiece. To ensure they wouldn't fall off during shooting, I specially crafted internal support frames, making them far more stable to wear for this Kuromi Serika cosplay.

For this shoot, I chose Kuromi Serika's classic formal gown styling. The black strapless velvet-textured dress features multi-layered cascades along the skirt, offering wonderful contrast under light and shadow. The three-dimensional black rose ornament at the neckline is especially eye-catching; paired with a double-layered lace necklace and a black gemstone drop pendant at the neck, the look instantly radiates aristocratic luxury. To match this noble black gown, I chose a black long straight twin-tail wig, with bangs trimmed into slightly sharp, textured layers to faithfully capture her tsundere yet cool and elegant aura on camera.

The shooting scene was specifically chosen at a vintage European-style indoor studio. A white carved armchair and a tall white cabinet behind it created a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. To avoid monotony, a wooden easel with a yellow sunflower oil painting was placed on the left; this splash of bright yellow broke up the subdued black-white-gray scheme perfectly. In the foreground, faux white and pink roses were arranged alongside a vintage white wrought-iron floor lamp and a lace tablecloth in the corner, evoking an authentic classical afternoon tea vibe.

The core of the shoot was highlighting that gap-moe contrast of languid yet refined grace in this Cat-eared girl portrayal. In the first shot, sitting and holding a teacup is a casual everyday gesture, yet combined with the cat ears and black gown, it carries the distinct aura of feline royalty. To accentuate leg contours, I selected a classic semi-sheer black stockings look paired with matching matte round-toe high heels; this classic Black tights outfit beautifully flatters the silhouette, lending a fine, delicate texture to the photos. To look natural on camera, I adjusted my body at relaxed angles, letting body language convey: "I might be a cat, but I truly know how to enjoy life."

Since this was an indoor studio shoot, lighting arrangement was key. The key light came from a softbox positioned diagonally from above, illuminating the face while bringing out a subtle sheen along the black velvet skirt so it wouldn't appear dull or flat. Throughout the shoot, I continually fine-tuned my posture, striving to keep the shoulder and neck lines naturally relaxed in every frame.

I feel the atmosphere of these photos was captured quite well. Kuromi Serika is inherently that kind of cat-girl who appears haughty on the outside but gentle at heart, so I aimed to amplify her elegance and exquisite charm. Through the coordination of makeup and hair, I strived to present an unhurried, composed presence in front of the lens for this Anime cosplay.

In post-processing, I preserved this cool-toned color palette while enhancing the texture of the black tights without making the overall image too dark. The synergy between the vintage set and the black evening dress exceeded expectations.

The overall experience of this shoot was fantastic—solid garment details and a highly photogenic studio set created a truly memorable Anime cosplay and Kuromi Serika cosplay record.
