This shoot features the duo styling of the "Highlander Twins" from Blue Archive. The overall visual tone is set in a refreshing scene combining school sports and fantasy magic elements. Because it's a twin theme, we paid close attention to the chemistry and height difference between the two from the casting stage. The long green wigs with straight bangs are the visual focal point; the luster of the hair strands and the curve of the bangs required careful styling to avoid looking overly bulky. The elf ear accessories combined with the ring-like decorations on top added a non-human, mystical feel, yet when paired with the academy-style uniforms, it didn't feel out of place.
The costume adopts simple white tees paired with navy blue athletic shorts. This type of gymnastics wear really tests body proportions and aura. The white stripe details on the sides of the shorts added overall vitality. Over-the-knee white tights are one of the core elements of this look, as they nicely flatter the leg shape and echo the white of the upper garments, making the body's color segments clearer. Two slender conductor wands were prepared as props—one with purple star decorations and a minimalist silver one. We used these props as eye-guiding tools during the shoot to increase the fun of the frame.
The environment was set up as an after-school classroom corner, decorated with a whiteboard and some stationery stickers, giving the originally empty studio set a narrative feel. The reflected light from the whiteboard was very soft, illuminating the shadowed areas of the models' faces. During the shoot, we tried various interaction methods. For instance, in the first composition, one person sat stacked on the other's lap; while this pose looked relaxed, it actually required core strength, and they went through several rounds to maintain physical stability and natural expressions. Another composition had them sitting on stools with legs naturally extended, presenting a casual and relaxed posture that, paired with the magic wands, looked playful and cute.
The focus of the makeup was on the eyes, creating that doe-eyed yet slightly cunning feel through deepened eyeshadow and elongated eyeliner. Because colored contact lenses were worn, eye focus was quite unique, and we tried our best during the shoot to guide them to look at the lens or each other's props. Due to the sharp angle of the tips, the elf ears needed to be carefully secured with glue to prevent slipping when turning their heads.
The lighting adopted a bright, high-key setup with minimized shadows. Post-processing focused heavily on color temperature and exposure. We avoided excessive skin-smoothing, preserving skin texture and realism to give the figures a breathable feel. White tights and clothes easily overexpose under soft light, so we slightly dialed down the highlights in post to restore details and edges of the stockings. The overall color tone was controlled between warm white and green, keeping it from feeling cold while matching the main green color palette.
When shaping the "bratty/mischievous" attribute, the focus was on the subtle control of expressions—slight disdain, a slight eyebrow raise, or a gentle head tilt could all convey that tsundere yet mischievous atmosphere. The interaction photos of the twins capture this trait very well; the shared gestures or distinct small movements make them look truly like two eccentric campus pranksters. The final photo effect was extremely satisfying; the green long hair matched with the white and blue sportswear inside the soft classroom evokes a sense of youth at summer dusk, and I hope everyone can feel the dedication put into the styling and shooting.
